This mod is prone to crash when you split the fleets or join them while it has drones in it. Sometimes this even happends just because of them merging on a station while you build more. I really like this mod because its pretty realistic in a sci fi setting to have drones and UAV's so please try to fix this mod.

Upon loading a save game and with the game still paused, one can transfer all non drone ships from a fleet that contain drones to a new fleet and disband the drones only fleet thout the game crashing, that is one method to continue to play the game.

Welp, I can make the drones but adding more to a fleet makes the came crash. I love this mod, but until it gets updated I can't use it.

@Karoar having the same problem. Troubleshooting was driving me insane it would also crash when I interact or click the fleet of drones in any way even after dismantling fleet manager would still crash, don't know what happened though cause i can interact with other drone fleets just fine it was only the fleet that just finished combat that caused the crash.

they're nice in the early game, but do tend to make my laptop tank in performance after they get a little too numerous. althought I would love the idea of maybe having an ascention perk that unlocks the drones as an alternate hangar component/section. that way they can still remain relevant all the while not burnong your PC.

Lesovikk: I never allowed the ai to build this on pre 3.4, however, 3.4 changes updated the codes, I still didnt add weight to allow the ai to build this so on 3.4, AI should still no build this.

I dont know why your copy is being build by the AI, that's most like done by another mod who have secretly allowed my drones to be build. (Compatibilty)

I am not sure whats wrong, but recently the other ship segments for the Attack Drones no longer show up only the one with 2 small weapon slots I haven't added any new mods that I can think would change this. I run NSC which currently has some problems with my current saves with some modded ship segments not appearing. I have run NSC and your standalone ship mods together for a while with no issue, but could there be some new compatibility issue? I don't use anything else that adds custom ships or segments.

Updated:
Added the following:
-Point Defense Version = 2xPD
-Default + PD = 1S+1PD
-Missile + PD = 1M+1PD

Adjusted tech requirements for the missles, now require the Missile 1,2,3, swarm 1, and torp 1. (Instead of requiring all 1-5 missile, 1-2,swarm, and 1-3 torp tech)
Adjusted HP to 1050 instead of 1200, increases speed and some other small changes like 0.2 upkeep to 0.15

Great mod but its so broken is funny, can easily reach half milion with 140 command limit. Which is wow... If its ok with you, can you make a vanilla friendly version? Hp nerfed a lot as well as combat power, speed and evasion are the strong points of the swarm, but lets face it, they alone can beat anything and evrything. The problem is that they can ba spammed a LOT, which is their biggest problem and biggest strength. Nerfing their dmg and health, heavily should do the job.

works like a ultra op missile launcher, and with the big number of this ship, my cpu, 5600x, are over burdened, since i dont even want to use bigger ships:steamfacepalm:

Karoar: ah so that's what it is, I think I know what's the cause of it, one of the mesh file is basically a blank file, a filler but it seems like the game keeps replacing it with that box, Im still not 100% sure but I check into it

@Red-Eyed_Fairace I get a red box over one of the ships while the other two are hanging out in the back. The ship definitely works, but for some reason the model is having a shit fit on me

Karoar: Should work fine on 2.8. regardless of the ! on the launcher. Also the model is fine, I dont see any problem with it. If you're refering on the ship icon on the Ship designer window, it should appear black or none at all due to the fact the the ship model itself it extremely small.

I have Rapid Response Fleets composed of Strike Cruisers (300+ speed) and lots of drones. Holy fuck I love these drones!

The AI SHOULD use these, if not it's broken mod. I wouldn't advocate any changes TBH, they are good as is.

Yes, I know about the damage penalty, but my most recent war against an imperial hegemony I had to fight THIRTY SEVEN FLEETS of around 100 of these things. This is on Cadet mind you. They wrecked my main doomstack (50 corvettes, 60 drone swarms 30 destroyers, 10 cruisers, 15 battleships) just by spamming fleets of 100 of these things. Gimp their hull to about 40% ish of a corvette (just remove a zero from their base hull and bam, balanced), because now I'm having to put my shipyards and alloy foundries through the runner just to make enough fleets to not get obliterated. The AI building it *might* be from another mod, but these things when kitted out right just annihilate everything. (Hell, I use them as leviathan hunters sometimes.) Even if I found the mod that stops them from spamming these, I could just do the same. PLEASE nerf these for the safety of my space cow people.

Skitter: Wait what? THE AI USES THIS? I havent played the game since 2.7 due to constant mod updates of every of my mods and I havent read anything about them allowing custom ships to be build, (And I clearly remember I didnt add the file to allow the AI to build this because it will replace 1 file and I dont want that) unless they change it now on 2.7.1. Also, there's already an active -20% weapon modifier on the drones, regardless of what weapon you use.

Corvettes have 300 HP, cost more, and yet drones tend to outclass them in all ways, I would recommend either a hull nerf or a damage nerf, as I keep getting zerged by AI using these

Skitter: I think it's a decent hp, instead of the 1500, also they dont get ship sensor as well as they cant use emergency ftl unless you manually click it when avail, but each drone cannot use it automatically (Due to the Combat Dis-engage chance being 0), it's do or die for them. so yeah, I think it's balance overall.

These things are really nice to have around, if a tad bit OP (1.2k hull points on something cheaper than a corvette), and the models are very well detailed.

The models of the drones are fricked... when I built them for the 1st time what I saw was 2 drones in the back and the 3rd one was a missing texture box

it is one that give corvette ships 25% faster attack and all other ships 25% reduced attack.
i looked and most of the stuff mostly buffs corvetts, with build speed and cost reduction etc. my corvets get cheeper then these drones really fast xD
i dont know man, i like these drones but if my corvetts get better and cheeper then its hard to use these drones.
anyways love the idea of these small swarmer ships, even if i end up not useing them xD 555

Farsight: Which mod is that? I highly doubt they will nerf this one, this hole mod is a stand alone. it creates its own entity and does not modify any vanilla entity, for that mod to nerf this one, they have to add a compatibility notice. Which I highly doubt.

could you release a version that is a corvette?
Im useing another mod that has a tech that increases corvette stats but lowers stats on other ship classes, vanted to add these drones to my fleet but if they are not corvettes then they get nerfed xD
