To those scrambling in the comments looking for a fix: I have figured out the problem for why the mod doesn't work. It's trying to call upon a job identifier that no longer exists in the game.

From what I've seen, the mod author must have noticed this as well since one of the two identifiers in the jobs file has been commented out.

As I don't have the mod author's permission to do anything about that - nor do I really intend to ask them for permission - I can only relay this information to you, the one reading this comment right now. So if you feel like getting your hands dirty, remove any instance of the job identifiers "initiative" and "resolution" from the jobs file of the mod.

Another, less agressive, alternative for this mod Skilled Crew
It works with bots in singleplayer.

Can't really fix anything rn, kinda stuck in a war situation, but thank you for commenting the issue, I've changed the description

This is working for hired NPC's and makes them cost 15k a piece.

I rather have fast exp gain, and modify maximums.

Cannot recommend this mod under any circumstance. It maxed out all hireable crew NPC. Making them impossibly expensive and it's completely unfixable.

All of them instantly become 15k marks forever, disabling the mod does not fix, going to new places does not fix. Absolutely horrible side-effect. Unacceptable.

Somehow on my first campaign try with this mod, I loaded a save inside a port, and the crew recruiter got refreshed with new crew with all 100s on their skills, across the board. It also shot their hiring price up to 15,000 marks, which is about the same cost as a transport sub!

Went to another colony thinking it might just be a glitch - nope, same effect. Not even disabling the mod fixed it. Had to start over because getting people to man the bigger subs was virtually impossible. Be careful what y'all wish for...

Works as named for the starting crew in SP. Hireable crew seems to still be regular skills...

Well I have not used it before but it would be cool if you can play around and not have to worry about skill
