I saw the new DLC and it looks fun indeed.

I updated and tested basic functionality. Please let me know if I missed anything.

Have fun!

That's fair, I do the same. Hope you will play it again soon ! (The new dlc looks fun)
LionelCG  [author] 21 Jul @ 8:50am
I need to look into it as I currently don´t play Rimworld.

Great mod, may you update it to 1.6 pretty please ?
RemyJustice97 19 Apr, 2024 @ 9:35pm
This seems to be working fine in 1.5 for anyone wondering
Pokethulhu 16 Mar, 2023 @ 11:45pm
@Owner1098 Look at "Minimal Light Control". It may be what you want...
Owner1098 8 Feb, 2023 @ 6:03pm
I have found (from messing with another mod) that if you have 'overlightRaduis' on a light the area that counts as light vs what gets affected by 'glowRadius'. Messing with glow radius seems to slightly improve the area that can be reached, but not the saturation of the light. I want my bunker bright as day, but am not going to place 3 lights every 5 tiles to get that effect XD Maybe you or another modder might have an idea about that?

Try it out Rinxeris, I can´t tell since I am not sure which mod you are refering to. This one adds supplemetary lights such as the one you are referencing I guess. So in the end it is a matter of taste.

I love it and decided to maintain it after it was abandoned due to its simplicity and because I love that you can place the ceiling lamps above objects such as beds and tables.
Rinxeris 6 Nov, 2022 @ 7:58am
does this mod is enough to replace ceiling lights mod? :?
LionelCG  [author] 6 Nov, 2022 @ 7:51am
Well since I already was on it, I also added the color change button. While it is only available on 1.4 it shouldn´t break any savegames if you are on an older Rimworld version.
LionelCG  [author] 6 Nov, 2022 @ 7:02am
Thanks Pookage. I updated the version information and tested the basics. Seems to work as intended. Let me know if anything is broken.

I currently don´t play rimworld but I guess I will be back soon and then look into adding the colour change feature to this lamps too.
Pookage 31 Oct, 2022 @ 2:08pm
Love this mod! There plans to bring it up to 1.4?
LionelCG  [author] 25 Jul, 2020 @ 12:50am
I didn´t have any issues with that. I also had issues, not like yours, but with prioritizing cleaning in general. I have a ton of mods, like 130+, and I eventually figured out the issues. If you disable all mods but this in a testing set with a new game, is it still an issue?
VeryVocalViking 23 Jul, 2020 @ 9:47am
I lost the ability to prioritize workers to clean under ceiling lights. I can't right click on the dirt to point them to it, and they all are ignoring it. I went as far as taking out all the ceiling and wall lights, stripping all Work priorities except for Cleaning, and all 12 pawns still ignored all dirt/blood/vomit that had been under these lights. They were cleaning ancient ruins halfway across the map, but left the kitchen and dining room caked with blood and vomit. Has anyone else seen this? I'm playing 1.1 with several other mods, so it could just be a specific conflict that I haven't pinned down yet.

Glad to hear. I do my best to keep it alive without having much clue of programming. I am a fan of this simple mod myself :)
Luden 5 May, 2020 @ 10:21am
This is my absolute favourite mod for Rimworld. I'm so glad it's been kept up to date!

Update on 4/11/2020 11:39:26 PM.

-Fixed issue with stockpiles not being usable directly under some of the lamps. Thanks Stublefoot.
LionelCG  [author] 11 Apr, 2020 @ 2:22pm
Thanks Stumblefoot, I will look into that. Never noticed it tbh cause I really put the lapms mostly above furniture but I will do some testing.
Stumblefoot 10 Apr, 2020 @ 9:42am
It seems the 1x2 and 2x2 ligths prevents stockpiles below from being used, the 1x1 has no such issue
LionelCG  [author] 5 Apr, 2020 @ 5:53am
Thanks Thuncal, I fixed it. Please report back if you have any further issues. I fixed it for 1.0 too without testing it, so if someone encounters issues please let me know.
Thuncal 4 Apr, 2020 @ 2:24am
I had a problem when adding the lamps above a big bed. Bed was destroyed and the lamp was build.
Spodos 28 Mar, 2020 @ 10:00am
Hm - must be a conflict with another mod I have then since I'm on 1.1. I agree they should be draggable, but for some reason getting rid of that line fixed the issue for me. Appreciate you looking into it!
LionelCG  [author] 28 Mar, 2020 @ 4:01am
I looked into it and with RW 1.1 the floor lights are rotatable no problem. Which version of Rimworld are you using?

Draggable makes sense for the long lights though, sind you might want to enlight your complete corridor without having to place the lamps one by one.
Spodos 27 Mar, 2020 @ 9:34pm
Can't imagine that's the case - if you look in the screenshot you see them both vertically and horizontally. Either way I appreciate it!
LionelCG  [author] 27 Mar, 2020 @ 9:04pm
Thanks Spodos, I just maintain the mod but I will look into that. I think that was intended by the original author though.
Spodos 27 Mar, 2020 @ 8:42pm
It looks like the floor lamps aren't able to be rotated. I did some digging and I think it's because you set them to be draggable, and I guess draggable things can't be rotated? When I removed the draggable line in the code they could rotate.
LionelCG  [author] 27 Mar, 2020 @ 6:28pm
Hey memo, you can reinstall them with minify everything ;)

i8memo 27 Mar, 2020 @ 2:04pm
hi, thank you for this mod i love it, but please make the lamps able to reinstall.
LionelCG  [author] 19 Mar, 2020 @ 2:16am
Thanks for the feedback. I am not to blame for the mod though, miodec is. ;) I looked into the code. The vanilla standing lamp consumes 30W. This ones 45W while they have a slightly higher radius. I think that is a fair tradeoff for fashion and space saving.
MysteryBlank 18 Mar, 2020 @ 2:28pm
Wow nice mod, and for the lamps take 10 power to consume per lamp, with a range of circle maybe 7-8 in all direction maybe be mistaken.
LionelCG  [author] 18 Mar, 2020 @ 3:35am
I heared that the vanilla lamp´s power consumption was adjusted. So if anyone feels that the lamps here are consuming too much or too little compared to their lighting level, please give me some examples and I will adjust them. I might look into that at some point of time but currently I don´t have time to play.
LionelCG  [author] 18 Mar, 2020 @ 3:30am
You are welcome. Updated to 1.1
Lovecraft 15 Mar, 2020 @ 8:11am
Finally! Thank you so much for updating. Even better if you could make it to ver. 1.1
