Hope it helps anyone!
Second- Some drugs will have permanent lasting effects no matter your opinion of how its used. Some friends just wow look different after only a few years use, quitting didn't get rid of the age look on some but did help remove some of the effects.
Choices have Consequences-fact of life
Third-- addiction is 'Technically' more than just a chemical its the whole experience hence anything can become addictive based on perspective while doing it.
but some chemicals make it really hard not to keep doing it, or causing people to have to train themselves to not give in again.
Last, yeah some of Rimworlds settings on this dont do it justice on both the lighter stuff, but some of the heavy stuff doesnt do enough of issues.
First-- Very few people even strong of will and not in a bad part in life can really avoid "addiction"
they will just use it less, but will still suffer from long periods of non-use.
(its more they use it less often then a heavy addicted person)
-Yes I have met a few that can quit, lighter drugs (cigarettes, weed, and a few others) Cold turkey no real issue other than suffering normal withdrawals, even quitting some foods can do similar if less obvious withdrawal effects. (everything in moderation people)
not Tynan modeling the game to make lesbians near non-existant and "most women bisexual" because that was "his experience".
he's gotta touch grass.
The best, most recent science on addiction doesn't really support it really being like...a thing. At all.
Happy people can use "hard" (for which there's no scientific definition and no unscientific definition that's not inherently flawed) drugs like heroin or cocaine recreationally and then stop without difficulty.
People who are using drugs to cope with an intolerable life find it much harder to do...until their life circumstances are improved.
Turns out if there's only one good thing in your life, it's very hard to give it up. Our current ideas about drug use and addiction are almost all formed by the war on drugs and (shock, surprise) racism and capitalism.
Thank you
Error in static constructor of LeafLikeLife.LLLStartUp: System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'LeafLikeLife.LLLStartUp' threw an exception. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
Not sure what it means, thought you'd like to know.
Bro you are a boos ! Thank you for the extra features and cool ways to even use this mod to do an entire play session with background and story.
And I totally get it, a substance that only gives positives with no drawbacks is potentially overpowered in a game setting. :)
Thanks for yet more awesome work, @NECEROS!
Added menu settings for all of the other properties.
- Percentage chance to give cancer and/or asthma
- Final cost of the joint
Pretty much the benefits and flaws.
Making it a fantastic mod for smokeleaf since you can Tweak it even for let's plays for series or even more great stories than rimworld can provide.
Thank you for going the extra mile Neceros, that was very cool!
@DreamKusherJay I feel you man but its not about IRL stuff its about game mechanics. But now with the changes that Neceros have introduced you can make it more IRL or your own real life as you need :) and the rest of us can keep it as balance or unbalanced as we need.
Everyone wins ! :D
