do NOT use this mod. i had been using it for over a year, and at some point noticed huge memory usage (32 gigs spec wise) and it was using up all 100%. never found out which mod, so i just upgraded my ram. well, finally i removed it since i stopped using the mod. turns out, this mod cause me to use 44 gigs of memory, in the main menu. a whole 34 gigs was entirely because of this mod. Now the game loads within 20 ish seconds compared to a minute, and only uses 10 gigs in the menu (i do still have quite a few mods).

@mister vertigo I went ahead and checked and the patch for this mod was using the original structure given to the backpack in 1.4 and prior. So I tested a way to fix it and will post in Mlie's Discord to hopefully restore the mod in working order. Thanks for the clean logs and the report.

As far as I know my Vanilla Framework and VAE-Accessories are up to date. They are displaying as the latest version in my game anyway.

@mister vertigo any chance you can provide an error log with just bare basics and this mod so we can see the whole interaction. Also make sure your VAE-Accessories and Vanilla Framework is up-to-date as some 1.5 changes would specifically affect patches if not updated.

I have an issue with a Broken XML Patch for “Dragonian Prime Race2.0”
Creating Items with a null thingClass.
This breaks “Door Clearance” for me and of course we don’t want null things.

@thaipuff288 Its not an extra tab. It sorts the list of apparel in the list you see when you, for example, select outfits, set storage filters etc.

There are actually more conflicts of duplicate things. Apparently Rimsenal - Feral Faction Pack has the same items defined.

Seems I missed out on some stuff from 1.3 update for VFE Medieval and Insectoids. I added the changed code in a comment to the closed issues on github.

Perhaps it would have been good for me, to check the comments here and learn about the Clothing Sorter, before I created some additional patches for the Organizer ;)

Anyway, I have some patch files now, that would fit nicely in the base mod:
- Vanilla Factions Expanded Medieval, Vikings and Insectoids
- Vanilla Apparel Expanded Accessories
- remaining items and a small fix for Vanilla Apparel Expanded
- fix for recon helmet

Any chance I can forward them to you Mlie?

ok its actually prestige marine helmet, which goes against every other naming convention the base game has had up until this point, gonna raise as a bug on the forums.

hmm actually after trying your other mod (which might be broken in 1.3) it seems the samurai helmet doesnt even show in the base game....odd

Seems there are new items in Royalty that are not taken into account in this mod, the samurai helmet being one ive found so far. Didnt know about your other mod so going to switch over to that and see how that goes.

I made a mod that sorts apparel dynamically without the need for patches. Since this mod requires a lot of work to make compatible with other mods I hope that this new mod might be a better solution.

Hi Mlie, could you add the categories for the LOTR Eleves + Dwarf + hobbits + Fantasy Goblin + VFE Vikings gear? They all just clump together after the Special Category...

This mod throws an error if "Rimsenal - Enhanced Vanilla" is installed due to lines 143-160 in 1.2\Patches\Rimsenal_Patch.xml. It looks like the Royalty Expansion adds a thingCategory for the parent that Apparel_tacHelmet uses. Not sure when this was changed but "shrug".

I fixed it by modifying the Patch Operations Sequence to use a Conditional PatchOperations to check if the item has a thing category or not. This is the code I use and I suggest you use to replace what you currently use as a patch: https://pastebin.com/By9PEEZP

This is a bit of a niche error as it looks like you need; Royalty Expansion, Rimsenal - Enhanced Vanilla, and this mod installed to get the error.

@Alfuken Seeing that this mod is just xml-patches there is no simple way to add what you suggest. I think it might be better if you ask around on the rimworld discord if someone can help you make it

I did not knew such apparel exists. But yes, if that's possible, I believe it should be either in all groups with checkbox synchronised, or moved to their own group, say, "inner + middle + outer", for example.

The reason for asking such change is to be able to see at a glance which layers are available and which are unused and can be assigned something. It's quite important to see such things especially when you have multiple apparel mods. That way you can be sure that your cook will wear either parka or chef's outfit, and you're not missing on opportunity to fill other slots, too.
