I'm in the same position as SpartanXIII - I have the necessary ingredients and am standing near a cooking source (stove, tried both on and off) and not being able to make anything: grilled cheese, grilled ham and cheese, boiled eggs are the ones I've tried in the last game session for example

I on the other hand just think the mod needs some level of instructional guide. I have all the stuff to make a scrambled egg but the stuff given by Zomboid itself is not enough to help me figure out how to make one. Any step-by-step instruction would help.

Sorry for the long text, but I wanted to share my point of view of the mod, but anyway it's really cool and I hope you could consider what I thought for an possible update.

But at the same time I think the recipies shouldn't make vanilla food items, as the result are less filling than the main ingredients, like the corndog with -15 in hunger in comparison with the cornbread, oil and hot dog link I used. It should be its own costume food item as it's more homemade.

And as I stated before, other item that's really broken is the minced meat, same problem with the hot dog links, small nutrition food can be used in a new one that has the triple of it's value.
Likewise more variations, with each stats respectively calculated and more posible recipes.

Also the hot dog links doesn't have any other use more than the hot dog in a bun and the corndog. It would be great if you could actually use them for more recipes as sandwiches, soups and stews.

As far as I could try with fried foods, the corndog uses all the bottle of oil and that is ridiculous, the oil should have more uses or even be able to be reusable, as you can actually clean it various times and filter all the remains.

I have a suggestion for the mod itself, as I really love the idea of making more food and using kitchen tools for it, but there needs to be more rebalance in respect of some of the recipes and foods, first the hot dog links are literally broken, you can with one one mice/rat make 4 hot dog links and have a lot of leftovers of the casings, each hot dog literaly fills almost the double than the base meat, and that doest have any sense as it should be divided equally.

The hot dog links should not be also so generic and simple, there could be more variation on each one depending on the type of meat, like small animal hot dog link, small bird hot dog, rabbit hot dog, and even hot dogs with vanilla meats with an more simple way of categories and reasonable nutrition stat, like beef, pork, chicken and "miscelaneous".

Also I noticed that the hot dog links can't use rotten meat with high cooking skill, and that's quite a shame as it kinda locks more options in late game.

Is it just me or does making sticks of butter consume the cooking pot?

hello, one question, how to boil the eggs? i have everything i need in my inventory but it doesn't give me the option, i have also tried to put the pan with water in the oven with the eggs, but nothing happens i can't boil the eggs in any way :'C

you forgot to add that you should keep the Sponge, and not that it should be consumed by the recipe like that doesn't make any sense as you already are consuming CleaningLiquid2 to clean it.

Please update compatibilty with other popular cooking mods like Sapph's cooking and Soulfilcher's Cooking time so we can use products made through their recipes with this mod

nvm I solved the hotdog bun issue but the grilled cheese one still remains

I am having a similar problem to taxim00 where I have all the components for certian recipes (grilled ham and cheese, hotdog buns, etc) and it will not allow me to cook them. I have an oven which is on next to me as heat and putting the components in does not work. does it need a grill for the grilled ham and cheese? cause I figured a stove top would work fine

@Пухлая котлетка: Are you using the most up-to-date and current version of this mod? I.e., the one I updated a couple of months ago just before Christmas (19 Dec)? There was a prior version of this mod that had really bad issues like you described and that I quickly patched. I'd consider unsubbing and resubbing, as well as scrubbing the mod folder just in case. Sometimes mods just don't update correctly on Steam for a variety of reasons.

Also, it could be you've gotten an old version of this mod off of some sus Russian 3rd party download site that's hella old. If that's the case, it wouldn't even be the first time I've tried helping a bloke that pirated PZ. If it's a real old version, it definitely won't work due to major changes to B41 over the course of the past couple of years.

Anyways, like I said, a copy of your console.log with all the errors uploaded to Pastebin or wherever would work wonders here.

Вот тебе список ошибок
1) при заходе на сервер высвечивается 1000+ ошибок
2) при нажатии пкм на любом предмете высвечивается +1 ошибка
3) при крафте любого предмета игра зависает на одну секунду или две, после отвисает и добавляется около 1500 ошибок
4) сломалась дефолтная готовка, то есть я добавляю в кастрюлю один ингредиент, а после больше ничего не могу добавить
5) просто выскакиваение периодических ошибок во время игры
Починилось это все удалением этого мода

@Madman Hi, thank you for this great mod, it was working well before, but now I have all the items and skills to make a grilled ham and cheese/cheese sandwich but it won't let me make it, it appears hardcoded and no options appear in any of the items. Is this related to the most recent patch?

@Madman I am returning to let you know that the homemade milk is once more acting correctly. My character got to have a nice cold bowl of cereal thanks to you!

@Madman_Andre I am well aware of those facts. My problem is, I did check the recipes. None involving a 'tub of cookie dough' showed up whatsoever. I typed in 'cookie' alone, I got several recipes, which again did not make use of the 'tub of cookie dough' at all.

I did see recipes making use of 'cookie dough' (as opposed to the 'tub of') by itself (not sure if it's from this mod or another, it doesn't say on the crafting menu), but I found no way so far to move cookie dough from the tub, hence my question. If it is indeed the 'tub of cookie dough' itself which is used in the recipes, then they do not show at all in my recipes list, which I thought was due to me lacking a high enough cooking skill or a specific cooking tray or whatever.

I'm beginning to wonder if it is not an incompatibility with one of my other mods or something. I do have a lot of them active, including quite a few about cooking.

@tilarium: That will be fixed in the next patch.

@ShadetheSilent: You can't exactly cook cookie dough out of the container - it's an ingredient for cookie recipes that use it. There are five total. As for the dangerous uncooked tag, well, cookie dough can contain salmonella, and well... yeah.

I seem to be in need of assistance. I have acquired several tubs of cookie dough from your delicious-looking mod and I, or rather the zombie apocalypse version of myself, require cookies to sate my hunger.

However, I fail to understand how to actually cook them, as it states they are 'Dangerous Uncooked', but when the oven is turned on and they are put in it, nothing happens. Do I need a specific item, a certain cooking skill level, something else? From the cooking description, I thought it might require a baking tray, but it wouldn't let me put it in one, so clearly I'm doing something wrong.

Hey Madman, so playing along and made some homemade milk but can't fix myself a bowl of cereal. I checked out the list of recipes that the homemade milk can be used for (via the craft helper mod) and the only thing listed is the mildew cure. Looks like something got disconnected, preventing it from working in place of regular milk.
