So, I'm actually trying to do something not dissimilar to this, but I've never modded before. I've gotten some advice, but I'm really baffled on where to start, because most of the people I know who've done any kind of map modding has either been from scratch, or making more provinces from existing ones, not moving provinces from one place to another. What I'm trying to do is replicate the map from Turtledove's Atlantis trilogy, which basically has the east coast of NA separated from the rest of the continent, but aside from never having modded before, I've also never used the program (GIMP) before, and have no idea how to move things that already exist rather than draw lines or fill in things.. Then I realized there are a bunch of modders who already do that, so why not ask one of them?

So which trade node does Taiwan belong to? Still Canton? Or it is moved to Nippon trade node?

@WasaSloth That's what I was doing in a test run before the game pulled a fast one on me and had Iroquois & UK attack my colony with me not being called in so I couldn't go into the war. So I declared on Iroquois directly, thought the wars had merged so when I peaced out, the UK could still destroy my colony :/

this sounds like fun, imagine colonising america as japan withs its subjects and defending america against europeans
