don't think this works with the new Lem update. I keep getting a blank message box spam whenever this mod is active.

@3D Girls Are Obsolete: Where do I find that file/folder? The best I have managed to find is a folder full of .mod files, but I don't know how to edit them.

For anyone who would like to use this mod until the author updates it, you can fix the errors by opening up the eac_aw_dpl_actions.txt file in the events folder of the mod, and then changing the "every_ship" on lines 56 and 188 to "every_ship_in_system". That should fix the blank event window errors and allow the mod to function normally.

Looks like 3.0 finally killed this great mod - spams your screen with blank event windows every daily tick when enabled (have narrowed it down).

I hope the author updates it, but if you come here to ask if it's currently working: No.

Been running this for a while and my game is incredibly stable for a modded game. the issues other people seem to be having is likely another mod or a load order issue.

I'd love to see an update of this. I've been very frustrated with the general uselessness of defensive strategies in the game and if I have to rebuild defense platforms from scratch any time someone rides in with a big fleet it really destabilizes my generally pacifist economy.

This works with 2.7, no updating's really needed aside from just confirmation and the big red exclamation mark can be safely ignored(As it normally should be because it's almost always useless tbh).

I've seen plenty of AI starbases and citadels with defense platforms that come under my control when I conquer them.

do ai builds defense platforms with this mod at all? i know never builds defense platforms on thier starbaes, wondering if they actually build them if i get this mod?

all the other mods work but this, the ship one and the carrier one's don't, steam just says that there are missing downloaded files. I've tried uninstalling both steam and stellaris but neither has worked. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm experiencing the same issue as Topnotches. Platforms repair too quickly when attacked by Vazurans from MEM.

I maintain a fix for the original Defense Platform Longevity, https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1648225215
that fixes the broken behavior when Fallen Empires support is turned on (they get disabled but never wake up). Is there any chance of this fix being merged in here? (you can ignore the other mods support I have)

The fix was to to replace
owner = { is_country_type = default }
with
OR = {
is_country_type = default
is_country_type = fallen_empire
is_country_type = awakened_fallen_empire
}
in events
eac_aw_dpl_actions.2, eac_aw_dpl_actions.3, eac_aw_dpl_actions.4 and eac_aw_dpl_actions.10

in files events/eac_aw_dpl_actions.txt

I think I have an edge case. I have the raiders from Vazuran Menace More Events Mod going on. They easily destroyed my starbase and platforms in the initial raid, but the platforms keep restarting without delay even though I have the time set for 90 days. Annoying but I can pretend they are punishing the system until I have sufficient fleet power to crush them.
Unfortunately when an empire I am at war with enters the system, the system flips to them and the raiders do not attack the starbase anymore. Can the platform code be adjusted to allow for the raiders to leave the system before platform restart?

If NSC adds new platforms, it's plausible that this affects them. I'd need to review the code, but I don't know for sure.

For DPL, along with BAE and Planetary Cannons, only version number required a change. The rest broke, and I'm still mulling over how to proceed with fully fixing Starbase Improvements in re. Citadel power and large weapons.
