This is a great mod. Great job!

Is there any way to make this mod compatible with the Extended Station Configuration Options mod? It's actually not game breaking and you can still configure stations with US standard and highspeed track (with or w/o catenary) and the PRR catenary shows up on station track fine. But beyond those four track types if you try placing other types like yard track or 'no-poles' version track assets, the game throws an error. Other than being laggy when you try I haven't received any CTD issues.

I now feel at home while playing this game

Oh, never mind, found them lol

is there a way for me to make the pole with the slants automaticly place when i place track

I found the error. It would seem that this mod and the "stations forever" mod don't mix. Will avoid using that one in the future.

I've been getting an internal error when using this mod, when configuring a station and placing track next to a platform, the error occurs.

I wouldn't mind the height with if had actual wires. My issue is mostly that it's on every track basically and I don't want every station to have those huge poles sticking through the glass roof. So making these their own track type would be nice and if you can give it it's own little subcategory so it's easy to find would also be nice

I have considered a few ways to improve this set and will release updates as they come. n.chiri's idea would be useful.

to address wabbithunta's ideas:

I will consider making them on their own track type. this would also remove them from stations, however I would argue what you see is in fact realistic.

The poles and size of these is 100% real. these were made from actual PRR plans and the only dimensions that were altered with respect to being useful in the game were the pole base distances to center of track, since TPF uses a certain center measurement.

PRR's electrical system was, and in most cases still is in integral part of the electric power grid. The catenary structure carried not only the wires over the track but also signal power and 132kv power supply lines. This is why the poles are so tall. I even considered adding those wires, but decided it would be more work than it is worth.

I like the idea of these, but is there any chance of something being done to resolve the issues below?

Don't over ride game settings, make these an option to be added within the game? I've found these are made the default set when using them in a game. I prefer to have a choice.
Reduce their size, they seem to be huge [and oversized?]
Resolve the issues with stations, they stick through the platform roofs etc.

.. and thanks for the work you have done with this mod, to date

These seem to be a lot taller in game than in the pictures lol, impossible to use them in station without it poking through something. I know it says they big, but sheesh
NS_37  [author] 13 Jun, 2020 @ 7:59am
good suggestion.
n.chiri 11 Jun, 2020 @ 12:31pm
Are you still working on this mod? I think the placeable assets could benefit from a second type of offset, transversal instead of longitudinal, so you could easily place an asset on an adjacent track that cannot have any assets placed on it, like a switch.
BIgbean2 17 May, 2020 @ 11:10am
i cant play it make the game boken
abe.sapperstein 21 Apr, 2020 @ 2:04pm
Fantastic mod! Thanks for the work. Could you make the bridge assets available separately as well?
SwimCrafter1118 15 Apr, 2020 @ 10:06am
Thanks for putting in the effort so it will be realistic!
Neighbor Kid 8 Apr, 2020 @ 8:21pm
This is awesome! Can i ask about possibly adding the bridge signals as waypoints as well?
NS_37  [author] 29 Mar, 2020 @ 9:56am
yes - i overlooked the new end buffers i had applied but they are part of that pack.
Chris "Fred" 27 Mar, 2020 @ 7:44pm
Yep, turns out US Track Set wasn't enabled, thanks

Hello,What map is that
NS_37  [author] 23 Mar, 2020 @ 9:03am
Then you havent actually used the mod as most of that is included. The 2nd screenshot shows some of that.
villavine10 22 Mar, 2020 @ 4:49pm
I feel like a shorter pole could be added, for low bridges and a custom beam that goes across a selected amount of tracks to support the catenary. Or create catenary supports that hang off a low bridge. Also a wire asset to connect the catenary supports.

Lovely...
Falconpilot99 20 Mar, 2020 @ 9:26pm
This is a great edition to my New York City project!!! Thank you so much for adding this!!!!!! If u ever got the time u should think of modeling some nj transit stuff, lirr, or mta subway stuff :)
NS_37  [author] 20 Mar, 2020 @ 7:12pm
Yes, the average height of the poles carrying 132kV wires is 80ft (24.4m) according to PRR documents. The set was made based on real-world specifications where possible. Some things had to be modified slightly (like track centers) because of the differences in Transport Fever 2 itself.

The two track types included allow better placements at junctions and the wide 300ft spacing that can be used on tangent track. I may add as an option to turn them on or off at some point.
MrCheesecake 20 Mar, 2020 @ 5:16pm
I mean if you google PRR catenary, you'll see how tall these things are
General Tso 20 Mar, 2020 @ 3:58pm
This are really neat and just the type of thing I'm looking for. So I subscribed and gave a up vote.

But the masts are way to tall and the mod also adds unneeded track types to the track builder menu.

If these things where fixed this mod would be awesome.
NS_37  [author] 20 Mar, 2020 @ 3:38pm
you can certainly apply it to a save game with no issues. I do not know what would happen if the parts were used in the game and then the mod removed though.
GDRacer22 20 Mar, 2020 @ 1:50pm
is this savegame safe? probably not right?
SwimCrafter1118 20 Mar, 2020 @ 1:28pm
yay:steamhappy:
LB_Industries 19 Mar, 2020 @ 10:24pm
it replaces vanilla ?
Dourbracken 19 Mar, 2020 @ 9:33pm
Sweet!
NS_37  [author] 19 Mar, 2020 @ 9:17pm
The position light set includes them now along with another type of signal bridge.
Dourbracken 19 Mar, 2020 @ 7:54pm
Absolutely beautiful. Just built my first mainline with it and it works like a charm. Out of interest, how did you make those raised position lights?
Tomahawk109 19 Mar, 2020 @ 6:56pm
Now this is an absolute must have!
NS_37  [author] 19 Mar, 2020 @ 6:49pm
too tall for what?
Earth Defence Force! 19 Mar, 2020 @ 6:43pm
They are way too tall in the photos, just saying.
Bezirksschornsteinfegermeister 19 Mar, 2020 @ 6:36pm
amazing!
GA5MλSK 19 Mar, 2020 @ 6:34pm
I'm so glad someone finally made a PRR style Catenary! Been waiting for something like this since the first Transport Fever game. Thank you!
Mec602 19 Mar, 2020 @ 6:03pm
Ok now this is epic
