Yeah, I'm aware of the issue. I don't know how to fix it, otherwise I would've patched it two years back. It's probably an issue with the AI, but I don't know.

I don't know if this is an issue with the guns or the AI, but most of the enemy bots care more about shooting me than the friendly bots nearby. Half the time they just crouch next to each other doing nothing. They're not even trying to shoot each other, but as soon as I spawn they all start sniping me. This happens with the other one-shot rifles too, such as the chassepot and the martini-henry.

10/10, I can zünd nadels with gewehrs so much easier now!

This was made when I first started modding weapons, it's so old nothing new will be done to it.
Eventually I'll make an entirely new pack including the carbine, but as it stands right now nothing will be done to it.

this needs a nerf because the fact that the bots can 1 shot me from across the map (twin islands) is absolute bullshit

Down the line, I have intentions of remastering the weapon model and animations, from which point both a bayonet and bayonet-less version will be present.

As other people have stated, a bayonet added to this gun would be icing on the cake. Otherwise, this mod is pretty great!

Yeah, don't want to get too wacky. But I do find the Dreyse to be unremarkable at any range, you deal like 80-90 damage after like 20 feet and it's annoying, hence my idea on increasing damage, but I should probably play around with other stats as well.

Yes and 4 seconds per reload does not equate to six rounds per minute, it's a game, it's not supposed to be realistic. With that said, I'm contemplating increasing the damage to 190 and keeping everything else as-is

This rifle is excellent. But there is a problem with the loading procedure. The cocking piece that sticks out on the Dreyse is actually operated manually. You push it in to cock the needle, and after firing you first pull it back then you can open the bolt.This is because that needle fire is not reliable, when there is a misfire, you want to make sure it is locked. Dreyse is a very safe design, there is no tension on the firing spring unless you push the cocking piece in.
