searching for CubeBlocks_Tools.sbc in the Space Engineers folder worked! Then I ctrl+F searched for the word Range and changed both small and large grid ranges to 15000M

Is this working anymore? Since new update?

Thanks for the tip on just editing the game file. Also note, there's a slider in the control panel for the ore detector. You need to move the slider too in order for the range to actually change.

The mod works, but i shout it down when i fund uranium

Automaton-Beta - mod is works, thanks

Thank you for the tip on changing the detector range manually. Worked no problem at all
Talisman1973 25 May, 2022 @ 8:29am
No it doesn't work right. I just added the mod to expand my range to find ore and it removed all the existing ore finds and didn't find any new ones at the expanded range

It will be reflected as standard, but the slider will be up to 2500 meters and up to 1250 meters.

confirmed does not work at present
only shows as standard ore detector

Doesn't work at actual date.

It seems this mod has a problem of once ore has been found it keeps finding the ore even after the ore detector is turned off.

Não funciona !
Comedian 25 Oct, 2021 @ 3:11am
still works for me
Evan Roams 10 Oct, 2021 @ 11:45am
the mod has worked very well, but about an hour ago it stopped working, it no longer detects anything as if it were missing
Qu33f Chief 10 Oct, 2021 @ 8:49am
Hmm everytime I try a mod that detects over 1000m it shows absolutely nothing. Is my game broken, lol? Since I have tried multiple mods I doubt it has anything to do with the mods them selves.

Is this still working properly for others? Large grid only pushes out to 1250m same as small grid...

It works on dedicated server, and it doesn't seems to kill CPU (I have a 2,6GHz dual core notebook running the server, it need some seconds to display ore, but it's working and the CPU load doesn't skyrocket)

Great work! I also feel the default range of 150m is a bit restrictive, so I can finally have a large ore-scanner that reaches 500m (which I feel is reasonable. ;)

AMD right now with Space Engineers will freeze every several minutes no matter what, it's a bug that they are working on. You can find a temporary fix for it online.

I do have an AMD computer with a Ryzen processor
DFW  [author] 10 Jul, 2020 @ 4:54am
(Neonin : Do any of the systems you tested with use AMD Ryzen processors or AMD graphics? As I have both and I can tell you that it is definitely this mod that causes the issue, and I wonder if it's somehow related to the vanilla bug with AMD systems. Perhaps Deth also has AMD hardware?)-------------------------------------------------At the expense of AMD technology and its support, I can not say anything, I did not use AMD hardware because most of the product was produced for Intel --- (optimization for games in video game consoles in which Intel products) .

Was doing the same thing to me , freezing for minutes everytime I jumped in a cockpit.Uninstalled the mod and freezing stopped.)----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Repeat once again. This mod tested with 3 friends on ultras + 41 mod, this MOD CONSISTS of CONFIGS of the GAME. even with artificial intelligence from pirates, travelers, etc. Loading my intel core i5 - 6400 2.70 GHz processor with a mod for 100 percent, sitting in the cockpit of such a problem was not 1 day, for 2 months of playing with a company of friends, both I and my friends. Changing the radar range in the config is the same as changing the weight capacity parameter.

I was having the dreaded random freezes when using a ship with an ore detector, and it seems to be this mod. Or at least, what this mod does perhaps? It's the only mod I have installed in a game with no DLC and a fresh start. Use a ship with this mod installed and ore detector on, freezes. Turn ore detector off, no freezes. Disable mod, ore detector on (50m range boo) but no freezes. Maybe there's a reason they're stingy with the max range?
----------
Informativeness at the highest level. Because of this, the mod does not break anything, it can not conflict with other mods just because I changed only the range parameter of the scanner forming a sphere around itself, in which it marks all the ores. This is a vanilla block that works with RAM directly, it is approximately the average speed equal to 34,133 MBps to 102,400 MBps at this speed, a game that uses a block that only reads RAM and outputs the values of variables will not freeze at this speed.

you are absolutely right, i am stupid and completly forgot to turn off the broadcast via antenna. everthing is working fine. thx 4 the heads up!
DFW  [author] 11 Jun, 2020 @ 9:50pm
(Woolf ---- i used it for looking for uranium in space, which worked perfectly. back in my base i realized i can still see all ores around me, even without the drill in hand which is a bit annoying and unnecessary. perhaps just keep the function to the ship alone?) {{{{{{ I don't know how long you've been playing this game, so I'll give you some advice. In the settings of crafting blocks, namely in the settings of the ore detector, you can disable - - - - (Broadcast via the antenna). You can also use the button (G) to adjust the visibility of signals (there are 3 options for signal visibility modes). The text may be difficult to understand, since I write through a translator from Russian to English.
