@ade.maiden no, these can be used on bridges and tunnels, they can also be used if there is a issue with terrain (if you understand) This mod is great. painting doesnt do it

@vtk it is shiny because it glass. its transparent so it can match the type, colour and material of the track you place beside it.

Why is the ballast shiny when one or more ballast-only tracks are built without standard tracks? (screenshot) [vidthekid.info]

@elje0ett wouldn't a paint effect do the same thing?

@briansyston What he means with ballast is that is a track without the track for the trains and only the ballast that is the stone that the tracks rest on.

What do you mean by Ballast?

Buy the plot, nice mode. Didnt noticed it. Its even yours. But there is no fence, so after a while you wouldnot know what is yours. More over a CompanyBoard name will be also nice for future multiplayer.

Hi gGeorge - there is already a mod that does that - its called 'buy the plot' however, it doesn't stick a sign in the reserved area - I quite like that idea and might add it.

Hello, its handy mode. Is it possible mark as ballast an irregular area by a fence ? Basicaly I am asking for a land grab/claim feature. Player buy the land, as a reserve for fututre expansion. Also it might be use to narow city growth. Player owned land is visible becose of a special fence, (there are modes who use ffences, so re-use the technique) perhaps place the board with company name on it (re-use headquarter technique). Thank you.

I noticed you can use the upgrade wand to change ballast up to standard tracks, and vice versa. This was also possible in the TpF1 version. Nice touch.

this is great can you add an option with the sleeper and Ballast only with "no rails" will be great for assets and decoration eg train track under construction.

Thanks for doing the no buffers version. Much appreciated! @ Mad Hatter
Marko Dash 24 Mar, 2020 @ 10:47pm
i mostly use it to add a gap in the middle of bridges
Bas950 24 Mar, 2020 @ 7:26pm
Please make the texture of when its used on its own also just the normal ballast without track instead of this strange thing
Bas950 24 Mar, 2020 @ 2:14pm
Buffers! Thats it xD
mongolteiko 24 Mar, 2020 @ 2:11pm
Does have a funny texture though when used on it's own [like a disused siding, but great when added to existing track.
mongolteiko 24 Mar, 2020 @ 2:08pm
lol snap @ Bas950. They are called buffers. Buffer stops or prellbock in German.
mongolteiko 24 Mar, 2020 @ 2:07pm
Hi Mad Hatter. Is there any chance to have a version without the buffers? We can always add them with a mod, as doesn't look right if you use this [as I used to all the time in TF1] as a 'cess' up to a junction and you have a buffer! lol
Great job though, missed this the last 5 months.
Bas950 24 Mar, 2020 @ 2:06pm
Can you remove the end of the track thingy (make it invisable), I just forgot how its called lmao
Redstoner_2019 24 Mar, 2020 @ 1:13pm
Cool mod! Thank you!
Dourbracken 24 Mar, 2020 @ 12:56pm
Thank you!!!! I was just hoping for a mod like this last night!
ShadowDS83 24 Mar, 2020 @ 12:40pm
Omg lol I was just thinking of this, this morning! thank you! :steamhappy:
Mad Hatter  [author] 24 Mar, 2020 @ 11:57am
Hi cookieBos - It lets you lay ballast with no track. So people who like detailing can place track that's been taken up - if that makes sense.
Krümelkid 24 Mar, 2020 @ 11:53am
what does this mod do ?
themeatballhero 24 Mar, 2020 @ 11:08am
