Set of wide roads for pedestrians

If I was forced to choose only one (1) item from the workshop that I was able to use for Cities Skylines, it would be this.

I've found uses for all three of the path styles provided in this pack - the third (not available with vanilla pathways) is especially great for Nature Reserves or just some trails through forested areas.

Things such as train or metro stations (especially the big plaza ones from the Train Stations pack!) *can* be placed 1-2 tiles away from the road and still function, but without these paths it looks horrible as the vanilla paths are just too small.

Thank you for these paths, they are amazing!

how did you get the end of the roads to be straight edges instead of round? I'd love to duplicate that in other roads.

An essential asset for me, I can't imagine building my cities without it. Thanks for the great work!

I thought I commented already raving about these. These have been really advancing my CSL experience. A one-stop shop for decoration and getting those pedestrians where you need them to go while blending into the diorama-like detailed scene when using a HD theme. My places look more real because I can plop these down. Thanks!!

Автор привет. Спасибо за работу. На современной версии игры нет конфликтов?

Super asset! Please can you make one with grass?

Great asset. Even better if you could make elevation possible for these spacious paths! :D

hey friend. These path textures, where did you get them from?

I recently lost a mod with pedestrian roads I used a lot so my maps are now ruined

It used those textures... can u help?

Ah! That's what you did! I didn't think of that, lol. Makes sense. So yeah, I would think elevated would need a different method. I only know that some people who do theme texture stuff use a script related to Ploppable Asphalt. Is that what you were doing?

Now that I told you how to fix it, please let me know if you plan to try again. It not, I will try to get permission from a relevant creator to make the 2D ones myself. Thanks!

@Sp3ctre18,
You cannot select a texture in the editor. All that is there is a checkmark to create a pavement, gravel or ruined. The game itself creates it.
Vanilla pedestrian roads change their texture. Here is the same thing. All I did was change the width of the road.
If I added my 3D road model, then the texture would not depend on the theme.
Sp3ctre18 31 Mar, 2020 @ 8:17am
You made it in-game? You mean, you can pick the theme texture in the road editor?? If so, please tell me how!

You got that error because the game only makes custom asset names for the basic road. You have to use ModTools to change the names of the elevated, bridge, etc. Luckily, you can use a script for that. Read Whisperwalk's road editing guide . Look at the section about your error. That should fix your problem! It works for me!

If you were trying to make bridges and tunnels, that's great! But I didn't mean that, because I said for "detailers," Even a 2D surface would help! Basically, I was hoping you could elevate these roads to make the pedestrian, theme texture version of this 2D normal road .

@Sp3ctre18,
Yes, roads cannot be elevated above the ground. You can use any of the standard roads for this.

I don’t know how to create 3D models, so I can’t make good bridges. I already tried to make such roads and saved the bridges, but everyone began to get a "Duplicate prefab name" and I deleted the mod.

The road was made in an in-game editor.
Loaded into the workshop through the game.
And everyone got an error.
I do not know what the error was related to.

Therefore, I removed bridges and tunnels. If I left the bridges except for errors in any case wide roads would be narrowed in the bridge.

If their colors and textures depend on the map theme, then you need to add "theme texture" to the name or description! That is the term for textures from our map theme, so when people like me search for things that use it, we type "theme texture."

This is great, I've been wanting this for a long time too. Thanks for making from 1x to 8x! You didn't say it, so I assume these can't be elevated? If so, please allow that. Detailers like me sometimes want to put paths on surfaces that are above the terrain level, and we always have to make the surface and the path separately.

@Drante, that's excellent! I used ploppable concrete surfaces for that, but it's quite tedious. This is much nicer :)
Drante  [author] 28 Mar, 2020 @ 8:16am
@John Rambo,
This means that no one can move on it. Just a surface for decoration. Can be used instead of mod Surface painter. Surface painter draws in cubes, and with the help of roads you can make smooth bends. It is a pity that the surface painter on the pavement draws with gaps. Otherwise, it would can be be combined.

What does "No pedestrians" do? Is it just for bicyles? Otherwise it doesn't make much sense :)
