Hey, idk of you still working on mods but, although I love the sword and all I could recommend you to change the model a bit, the curve of the blade in my opinion is a bit too steep, that and toning down a bit the brightness of the colors, and lastly i would recommend to change the seller of the sword to someone more difficult to find like armor king or something,
Just my opinion, that's all

@莉泽萝忒 @Loser

- This clothing was just a reskin of one of the dusters, but I have an akatsuki robe mod up with a fully modelled robe based on the series.
- The project I was working on before I took a break might be just what you are thinking of...

Thanks for this fantastic mod, but where can I find this clothing?

This is so exciting!

@vit86k I mostly have Shonen Jump series in mind for their popularity (obviously I want my mods to be popular too!) but I'm also a huge fan of Berserk, Overlord, Claymore and Goblin Slayer so there's definitely a possibility for the future! Perhaps I could do the girls' weapon and armor but without the capes - as I found making my latest mod (uploading tonight!) making loose/baggy/wavy clothing is not easy as any cloth physics from Blender are lost when importing into a video game (games use their own physics engine for that kind of stuff) so things like cloaks and robes tend to look stiff in Kenshi and can suffer from excessive stretching.

What about Claymore ?

@MAKSO112 It's an old reskin I did of the vanilla Kenshi duster for personal use (it's just a recolour of the texture, the duster model is the same). I am currently working on a fully new, authentic akatsuki coat - it's all modelled and textured and rigged, just a few minor kinks to work out (some parts of the coat not moving during animation, causing tearing - most likely a weighting issue!). I hope to have it ready asap.

Where I can found mod for Akatsuki Coat_

Thanks mate your mod is great and looking forward to your future mods I'll be keeping an eye out for sure. Especially anything Naruto themed.

Thank you. You do not need to do anything apart from a very little pach called "lore friendly version" etc, with balanced stats and place the link on this page. Tons of mods do it this way. You will get more downloads this way from "immersion ppl" like me. I also was wrong "immersion" version should not be stronger then mkIII, as this how it works for ST.
Fung Si Yan  [author] 29 Mar, 2020 @ 7:29pm
@mahatmadandy Thanks for your kind words and fair criticism - in hindsight you are probably right, and considering the low price and easy access to the sword, the defence penalty is probably not enough to offset the high damage and armour penetration of the sword. The problem is that quite a few people have already downloaded the mod, and not everyone will have the same opinion which makes altering the stats on this version of the mod a tricky decision. Alternatively I could upload a parallel version of the mod with lowered stats but I am more focused on working on new stuff in Blender right now - perhaps in the future. I will however bear your criticism in mind for future weapon mods (there are several I have in mind), and try to make them more balanced in respect to the vanilla game.
I chose TS and Hub as vendor options as I feel most people who download a simple weapon mod want to access the item as quickly and easily as possible in order to enjoy it.

@barker8183 It is a reskin i did of the vanilla duster to look like the akatsuki robes. The body wrappings are I think from the Cannibals Extended mod (though the same effect could probably be achieved from the mod that puts more variety of martial artists wrappings into the game, giving almost unlimited choice to how much body/limbs is covered by martial artist wrap underwear - I can't remember the name though) and the ninja slippers are from Souji clothing mod. I am currently working on a completely new armour model that will much better represent the akatsuki robes from the Naruto anime - it's not easy but it's been a lot of fun so far and will hopefully be done in the next couple of days. Ideally I would like to also make a Tobi mask (orange swirly one) and upload the duster, the robes and the mask together in a single mod package. Keep your eyes open for it!

I really like your mod. Upload some more, please. You are very talented. Could you please rebalance a little the stats, as this katana seems to be quite OP. If TS sell it it can't be to "edgy" - max edge 3 comparative stats, no more please.

Hey mate i was just wondering what is the outfit you have on your character? Thanks
SENTIONAUT 27 Mar, 2020 @ 10:56pm
Oh great man, thanks for the quick reply. I accept your offer, I'll send you an friend request then.
Thanks for helping me :steamhappy:

@SENTIONAUT You will also want to google search a Kenshi forum post that has download links for a Blender plugin and Blender start scenario that will enable you to import/export models in a format supported by Kenshi as well as offering default models to help you get going.
I would start by making weapons - armour and animations are much harder and require an understanding of "armatures" (the skeletons used for animation). There are hundreds of tutorials for Blender on Youtube that will explain the software better than I (or any text alone) ever could. If you need help with FCS there are lots of Kenshi modding communities (and a discord) out there or you can add me. Good luck, and if you want to use this sword model for learning and creating your own assets you are 100% welcome to do so, no credit is necessary.

@oi_io No problem, in retrospect I probably could have waited the extra 5 minutes in-game to take SS during daytime -_-

@SENTIONAUT First you will want to download "Blender" and "GIMP". The former is a 3D poly-modelling/sculpting/rendering/animation software and where you will spend 98% of the time. The latter is image editing software, that as of the most recent versions will both support and export the .dds format which is the format that you (and Kenshi) will use and where you will spend 1% of the time. Most importantly both of these are completely free software without any catches. The final 1% of the time you will spend in FCS or Forgotten Construction Set, Kenshi's own fantastic database-style editing software that is included in the game (just select Game Editor from the steam startup window).

Nice job MeUj !, the sword looks awesome. Can you take screenshot during daytime so we can see it better? Hope to see more mods from you in the future! :gk_heart:
SENTIONAUT 27 Mar, 2020 @ 7:00pm
This looks very good man, keep up the work. I like it :happy_creep::selike:
Can you or anybody else reading this, maybe recommend me some sources for learning this modding stuff too? I am curious about how this all works, to get new content like swords, armor or maybe even animations into the game.
Immaluckez 27 Mar, 2020 @ 1:26am
Yay
Fung Si Yan  [author] 26 Mar, 2020 @ 12:15pm
@Felix Most are others' mods, the Akatsuki duster in all the SS is something I made quite a long time ago, it could be better - if I upload a mod of that nature I would rather make something better or perhaps include it in some kind of cosplay pack. I have plenty of time on my hands so we'll see.
Immaluckez 26 Mar, 2020 @ 3:07am
Looks good, are the rest your mods or somebody else ? I see new goodies
Fung Si Yan  [author] 25 Mar, 2020 @ 11:55pm
Any ideas are welcome! I didn't use any normal map texture file and any "shininess" is from a global specular/metallic effect added in Blender to the whole model. This might make the grip look a little more reflective than it should, but as I work on other models and get better/quicker at Blender I will probably "fix" this weapon too. I've also noticed some red on the underside of the tsuba which I will fix tomorrow probably.
Steen 25 Mar, 2020 @ 11:45pm
Hey man, nice mod!! can i suggest some texture tweaks? gonna send you an FR
