yeah it works fine both on galaxy set up screen and when the galaxy started

@ZacharyBuilder: I didn't get to check it yet. Would you try it and report back?

Is the mod still working since the galaxy setup screen has changed.
nighthawk  [author] 30 Sep, 2023 @ 8:24am
@ZacharyBuilder: Yes, probably this longer weekend. As far as I can tell, the mod should still work without issues.
ZacharyBuilder 29 Sep, 2023 @ 5:13pm

It looks like on the smallest size, you sometimes start a new game and your own empire does not have enough space to spawn (you end up as an observer). In that case, just restart and it should work.

@Alpaga: That kind of depends. The smaller the map the less empires it supports, that 's right. The more DLC you have, the more additional systems can spawn though. So with Distant Stars for example you always get two more systems at the start (sealed system with the wormhole).
But while it might support as many as 10 empires even at 50 stars, if you picked advanced start for them or added a Fallen Empire, those empires would get shafted and have too little territory, so I made it that all of the sliders could be maxed without such weird cases (and kept it in line with vanilla constraints scaling with galaxy sizes).
Alpaga 13 Apr, 2022 @ 3:33am
Great idea, I can't wait to test it.

From the description, I'm guessing that even if you specified a 50 stars 10 AIs galaxy, some AIs wouldn't spawn with the default stellaris generator algorithm ?

Is that right ? That makes me a little bit sad.

This mod + Wild Space is a pretty interesting combination.
Wild space and a few black holes/other systems will generate around the galactic center, which makes for a nice and small disk-shaped galaxy. However, the hyperlane connections get a bit funky (on every density setting)
TechNinjaSigma 17 Jan, 2021 @ 7:44pm
This might help with performance, let's try it out!
nighthawk  [author] 17 Dec, 2020 @ 6:35am
Just took a look and the mods shouldn't collide nor interact with each other as we both add new Galaxy Sizes which exist independently from each other.

Definitely another interesting way to play! Please report back if you should encounter any issues (even though it seems unlikely). Have fun!
Cosmic Cat 15 Dec, 2020 @ 5:45pm
Thanks for this mod! Going to be fun to see how it works together with Wild Space :D:

Version 2.1.0
* Update to game version 2.8.0

Nothing changed, this is just a minor maintenance release.
nighthawk  [author] 28 Oct, 2020 @ 2:14am
Version 2.0.0
* Removed "Gigantic" (1500 stars) map size
* Added "Microscopic" (25 stars) map size (thank you for the suggestion Jerwin )
* Added "Diminutive" (150 stars) map size
* Added support for the 10x and 25x crisis strength options to all included map sizes
* Updated both "Tiny" and "Small" vanilla map sizes to support all different galaxy shapes
* Renamed "Nanite" map size to "Infinitesimal"
* Renamed "Microscopic" map size to "Nanoscopic"
* Renamed "Miniature" map size to "Minuscule"
* Renamed "Minuscule" map size to "Miniature"

Since support for the "Gigantic" (1500 stars) map size has been removed in this update, the description now features a link to another mod by Ariphaos that complements this one perfectly and supports even bigger map sizes (you can also just click here ).

Have fun! :butterfly:

In addition to a 25 star galaxy a 75 star galaxy might also be nice as an option between your 50 and 100 star galaxies. I've only played Stellaris using your 13 star galaxy and my edited 25 star galaxy thus far so the inclusion of a 1500 star galaxy in this mod does not interest me.
nighthawk  [author] 15 Oct, 2020 @ 7:54am
@Jerwin: Sure, I'll add it to the next version. Any idea how many other empires you'd want? And another question - did you like the inclusion of the 1500 stars sized galaxy?
Jerwin 13 Oct, 2020 @ 6:58pm
Your mod saved the game for me as I feel the game's default smallest star count of 200 is far too large for my taste. If you take suggestions might I suggest a 25 or 30 star setting? I personally felt the leap from 13 to 50 is too large so something in between would be nice. For personal use I discovered that these are just text files so I went ahead and modded in a 25 star system to my game. But just in case other similar players would want that too I thought I'd leave the suggestion here.
Jerwin 7 Oct, 2020 @ 1:34pm
Thanks for this mod! I wanted to do a one-on-one game with the AI and this is just what I needed.

@nighthawk
That is fine, I was looking more at the 1500 galaxy one.
nighthawk  [author] 23 May, 2020 @ 2:37pm
@rawester2: This is fully compatible. But the smaller ones might not be big enough to fully get to enjoy Real Space due to not enough systems spawning.
raw666 22 May, 2020 @ 1:04pm
I assume that is compatible with Real Space, but the stars are vanilla, not Real Space?
Hunter 495 13 May, 2020 @ 12:25pm
This is probably one of the only mods that doesn't add in a galactic core, which I'm glad for, cus I use gigastructures and don't want to have a swarm of stars blocking the core from view.
nighthawk  [author] 12 Apr, 2020 @ 10:06pm
@BobMoron: Great that you like it! Hope you have fun playing with your friend. Sadly none of mine are all that interested in Stellaris...

Now with the newest update it should soon be possible to add specific systems only to specific map sizes. That means it can be possible to spawn ultra dense solar systems with multiple habitable planets only on small sizes where its bearable for our hardware. I've seen an idea for multiple single system empires battling it out. This might be really fun. I hope somebody does something like that, but if it doesn't happen soon not - that person might just have to be me!
Maël 6 Apr, 2020 @ 5:13pm
YES! Awesome! Smaller sizes, just what I was looking for.

I'm currently trying to work out a mix of mods for a "dense" game with a friend, by which I mean small galaxy size + an absolute chaos of events and unpredictable shit happening all around. This seems like an excellent starting point. Hopefully it will end up being interesting and slightly memorable.

Thank you so much!
