use an event controller with a defensive block to trigger them on/off
Abisius Xarvenius Carbensius 21 JUN a las 21:30
@UnSayableStorm
it only retracts when turned off so you would need to build a system which detects the enemy and then activates the weapons.
UnSayableStorm 21 JUN a las 20:17
how can i set this up so that it stays retracted until a target appears in range, then it pops up to fire?
Jarbeefis 23 MAY a las 14:05
Not sure but I think this mod was broken by the Fieldwork update. A lot of my mods seem to have been. The turrets now just show up as a block in the preview and when built they don't function
Abisius Xarvenius Carbensius 22 FEB a las 18:51
@The Red Comet
the answer lies inside the moddescription.

also if the turrets are based on a ctc and dont use modded nonwc weapons they should still be working, though there where cases in the past where a ctc and preexisting weapons needed to be rebuild after wc was added to an existing world to be properly replaced by the internal or the choosen alternate replacer for the vanilla weapons and ctc.
The Red Comet 22 FEB a las 18:48
is the retractable version available for vanilla? I run a server with a few users who use custom turrets and I would like to run the retractable PDCs without breaking their ships
nukeguard  [autor] 16 NOV 2024 a las 17:35
yes, there's a link in description, "Vanilla Version"
LastShadow 14 NOV 2024 a las 19:01
Is there a version of this where weapon core is not needed to use it?
nukeguard  [autor] 11 SEP 2024 a las 17:15
link fixed, thanks!
Abisius Xarvenius Carbensius 10 SEP 2024 a las 23:36
probably cause its still an old link prior to the change from darkstar over to ash like snow
working link for it: https://github.com/Ash-LikeSnow/WeaponCore/wiki/Player-Tips#december-2022-addendum-on-non-wc-weapons
DMMWolf 10 SEP 2024 a las 23:16
Disclaimer link does not work btw
nukeguard  [autor] 31 AGO 2024 a las 10:29
update: fixed gatling ammo not working, fixed names for ammo in terminal
nukeguard  [autor] 23 JUN 2024 a las 10:33
you can set them to manual control, like you would add actions in the action bar for normal weapons
Darkgamer504 16 JUN 2024 a las 6:18
i am kind of new to weapon core but how do you shoot like you just did in the video, making it follow your mousse ?
nukeguard  [autor] 15 FEB 2024 a las 17:31
you'd have to set up a few sensors and event blocks to turn them on/off on enemy detection
TiGeR 15 FEB 2024 a las 16:59
Hello
Can I make this turret automatically retract and activate when an enemy is nearby?
Regards
nukeguard  [autor] 10 FEB 2024 a las 11:35
This mod works fine, new weapon core is just the same as the other right now. Mod authors are switching. No need to update this without any new functionality changes.
Niam 10 FEB 2024 a las 7:36
I see the new weapon core as a dependency, but the mod was last updated a year ago. Is the new weapon core actually what your mod requires?
Audiacious 14 ENE 2024 a las 11:25
nvm reloaded and now its working. please disregard.
Audiacious 14 ENE 2024 a las 11:20
hmm in my save game it wont target grids at all only projectiles. ive checked the settings and it isnt working.
nukeguard  [autor] 14 ENE 2024 a las 9:54
They're all set to target: Grids, Characters, Projectiles, and Meteors
Audiacious 14 ENE 2024 a las 7:36
in weaponcore it doesnt shoot small grids as set, it only targets missiles and rockets. Is this by design or a bug?
Kackdackel 2 DIC 2023 a las 12:12
Hey there, first off great mod, tons of fun and a hell of a pdc. i have bit of an odd request and it's probably not gonna hapen, but is it feasible to add a slightly larger like 2x3 retractable version that looks more proportional on the bigger large grid replicas of the Rocinante that we have in SE? It looks great on the small grid Rocinante replica by @Charly1138, but as soon as they're on any large grid replicas of the Rocinante, they look too tiny.
Ghostclaw the Cat 23 NOV 2023 a las 11:22
yes.
Abisius Xarvenius Carbensius 21 NOV 2023 a las 13:06
@Ghostclaw the Warrior Cat
did you let steam check for file integrety?
did you make sure you deleted modfiles of this mod from both storage folder and the workshop folder before making the new download?
Ghostclaw the Cat 21 NOV 2023 a las 8:50
They act liek conveyors even after new dowloading
Ghostclaw the Cat 21 NOV 2023 a las 8:13
They do not wanna shoot (they dont have the settigns other turrets usually have like Targetsettings or range etc.) Its liekt hey arent turrets
Corvus 3 NOV 2023 a las 15:19
any chance it can use animation engine so the retracting works in multiplayer?
Mr.Kat 6 AGO 2023 a las 16:03
Weird wouldn't let me probably something on my end I'll try again. Thx.
nukeguard  [autor] 6 AGO 2023 a las 5:04
Did you use the mod Mr.Kat? They are on small grid also.
Mr.Kat 6 AGO 2023 a las 2:26
These are so cool and amazing. Would love a version where you don't change anything except letting me put these on a Small Grid.
nukeguard  [autor] 18 JUN 2023 a las 15:36
Bobothemonk 13 JUN 2023 a las 14:21
Hi nukegaurd. May I use this mod in my server C-137 PvP? I would have to reupload as hidden with some adjusted settings.
Abisius Xarvenius Carbensius 4 JUN 2023 a las 4:33
@Anubis Corporation
in case you use a inventory management script tag the wepaons accordingly so that they are ignored by the script.
i already encountered them not reloading while using isys inventory manager cause it did pul the ammo out faster than they could reload till i set them to be ignored.

also always a possibility is file corruption of game and/or modfiles and mod conflict, did you check for that?
nukeguard  [autor] 4 JUN 2023 a las 3:08
They do take ammo in survival, I only test in survival, and they work fine with pulling ammo, make sure you don't have the old gatling ammo in the guns, keen changed the ammo name. It takes the depleted uranium and gatling ammo
Anubis Corporation 3 JUN 2023 a las 10:17
The weapon does not accept ammunition in the survival. pls update
nukeguard  [autor] 12 MAY 2023 a las 17:36
not possible without wc, no animations with keens weapons
Krossark 12 MAY 2023 a las 14:19
Hi possible version retractable for non WC ?
GS0M 11 MAY 2023 a las 14:35
Animation does not work if on/off from button, timer, sensor and ivent controller
nukeguard  [autor] 6 MAY 2023 a las 16:34
turn the off/on to trigger animation
KittyCatMeow 6 MAY 2023 a las 13:42
How do you retract the guns?
nukeguard  [autor] 5 MAR 2023 a las 15:53
gatling ammo box works in this
Zombie 5 MAR 2023 a las 7:10
no non-depleted ammo i.e. no build-able ammo that does not take uranium. no other build-able ammo works with this weapon
cswarwick 26 FEB 2023 a las 12:19
anyone seen issue where "Gatling Ammo Box" isnt being replaced by the 25mm box? Using MCRN weapon core, and it wont take the "gatling ammo" boxes. I believe it is because the vanilla replacement or weapon core isnt allowing me to build to correct ammo type.
nukeguard  [autor] 3 ENE 2023 a las 3:36
aha, glad you found the issue
Oorillon 2 ENE 2023 a las 15:03
@Nukeguard,
Hello There.

i found the Issue. I copied the world from my Drive to my Serverblend Server. It doesn't recognize the mods correctly.
I need to download it, insert the mod and reupload it again.
nukeguard  [autor] 28 DIC 2022 a las 13:21
I cannot replicate your issue, and this mod is working fine alongside many other wc mods, you may still have another mod conflict
TTSP 28 DIC 2022 a las 6:56
Suddenly, weapon blocks from a third-party mod disappeared, right in the game. I can't manage to install it anywhere anymore, but I see a warning message about Weapon Core compability every time I try.
Mod "Revived Large Ship Railguns", it doesn't use WeaponCore and there were no compatibility issues prior to last WC update. The Lord @DarkStar had tested compatibility between these mods and fined no issues. But as soon as I removed your (the only one) WC mod from my world, all come back to normal.
Oorillon 27 DIC 2022 a las 12:07
I think, I installed and uninstalled it a few times.
