Thank you! Now I can rp properly with Ifan.

I can't seem to use the OSR version of the skills. They are greyed out in the hotbar. If i change to vanilla version using the tome then all skills are useable.

Thanks, I'll check em out.
Part of it is that I consider it to be a fixture of the character and less a normal summon.
frasdoge  [author] 31 Dec, 2020 @ 6:21am
@Alex There are mods on the workshop to extend the duration of all summons such that they never expire. I would recommend just using one of those ( for example this one by LL ) if summoning before combat is something you want to be core in your gameplay, placing all summons on equal grounds.
Alex 31 Dec, 2020 @ 6:10am
May you add a configurable duration for Summon Soul Wolf, so its more Feasible to summon it before combat?
frasdoge  [author] 21 Jul, 2020 @ 5:49pm
@God Himself Yes.

Question about Demonic Stare. It says it ends at the end of the turn, but it actually ends when you end your turn, as opposed to a turn in the whole fight. Is that intentional?

@frasdoge, could you add the norbyte script extender logo in a corner of your thumbnail, it could provide clarity to those who dont use it and to those who do.

@Marlow I've just tried testing with all of those mods installed and applying a Fire Infusion to the Soul Wolf - no crash.

Could you contact me on Discord? I may need to get some crash logs or save files from you. My handle is frasdoge#1996

Occultist Overhaul, Summoning Tweaks + Permanent Summons, Summon Rework, and PDGM. Rest of the origin skills work great tho thanks!
frasdoge  [author] 21 May, 2020 @ 1:00am
@Marlow Could you let me know of any summoning-related mods you may have installed, or perhaps any overhauls you are using?

Will be very helpful in tracking down what has gone wrong.
Marlow 20 May, 2020 @ 7:07pm
The new soul wolf crashes when applying any of the elemental infusions in my modded game for some reason. I assume there is some compatibility issue with another summoning mod, but the vanilla wolf works fine.
Moon 20 May, 2020 @ 1:19pm
Ah. I see. Thank you, that will make it easier <3
frasdoge  [author] 20 May, 2020 @ 7:57am
@Moonlight Waltz

I see how you might've been confused by the menu. The way it worked was the text you could see was what it would change to, NOT the currently selected option.

I've changed that now -> the option you currently see in the menu is the option that is currently enabled. Eg. if it says OSR on a skill, you're currently using the OSR version of the skill.

This just makes more sense... I don't know why I ever had it the other way around. This change is propagated through localisations too if anyone was worried.
Moon 20 May, 2020 @ 3:19am
Yeah, funny enough, for Demonic Stare exclusively your version is applied when Vanilla is toggled and DU's version ("vanilla") when OSR is toggled. All other ones work like this. TY for reply though
frasdoge  [author] 20 May, 2020 @ 1:04am
@Moonlight Waltz I would highly recommend not using Demonic Stare or Maddening Song from this mod in combination with Divinity Unleashed. They are balanced around the Vanilla armour system which is overridden by Divinity Unleashed, making them functionally useless.

Due to this level of incompatibility, there's no point in patching out weird interactions like that. Fortunately there is a book to toggle between the Vanilla skills and my skills, so swap them out.
Moon 19 May, 2020 @ 10:29pm
I'm not sure if that happens in Vanilla, but with Divinity Unleashed if enemy doesn't have at all at least one type of armour [i.e. 12 phys but 0 magic armour], Demonic Stare reduces instead their HP to 0 xD
Lethan 1 May, 2020 @ 12:55am
No, my steam is on E:/ and for some reason Larian mods want C:/ ... so it'll auto download to E drive and I have to manually put into the C drive location. Very annoying.

Keep up the good work though ,)
frasdoge  [author] 30 Apr, 2020 @ 11:19pm
@Lethan Hitting subscribe should automatically update the mod and keep it at the current version. If you're using Nexus I think Vortex checks for new mod versions as well.

Updates to this mod moving forward will be mostly be adding localisation support if more people help out with it / are willing to translate for me.

I had thought about having Madness pierce armour but as a turn skipping status I thought twice about it. Interesting idea to have it apply to allies as well, as it would make it punishing to use Maddening Song around allies with depleted armour.

If I were to add that I'd have it as a separate option for users to toggle between rather than the default.
Lethan 30 Apr, 2020 @ 5:40am
I'll not be using this one, since I have too many other mods to manually update / patch. But I love the changes to Timewarp here - and the alterations to Shackles is a nice touch too.

For one source point; I feel Lohse' ability should apply "Madness" to enemies and friend alike regardless of armour status, but change it to 'once per combat' much like Vanilla time warp.
frasdoge  [author] 8 Apr, 2020 @ 6:23am
@Hoshi If you'd still like to keep skills you find compatible you can use the book included in the mod to swap them back to vanilla/DU.

I don't have any plans to make a DU compatible version in the future.
Hoshi 8 Apr, 2020 @ 5:42am
I really liked your mod but it's effects aren't all compatible with the mod Divinity Unleashed so I had to unscribe here. :(
frasdoge  [author] 7 Apr, 2020 @ 8:50pm
@AarkNoa I've added a compatibility patch for Odinblade's class overhauls separately. Took a while as there's a frick tonne of statuses :P
frasdoge  [author] 6 Apr, 2020 @ 8:26am
@AarkNoa Dazed is an unused status in vanilla so I haven't set it to be removed sorry.

I can check through some class mods in the next day or two and add their statuses. Thanks for letting me know.
AarkNoa 6 Apr, 2020 @ 3:01am
Hello again
sorry to bother you, but i just noticed that 'Break the Shackles' does not remove 'Dazed'
the status effect is not included in the skill description as not removeable, but it's not actually in the vanilla game (or is it? been playing with mods for a long time now)
so I was just wondering if that was intended or not
frasdoge  [author] 4 Apr, 2020 @ 11:55pm
@EdemBR In my playtesting I had Demonic Stare also terrify the target. It was... overpowered.

As it is right now it guarantees either a CC or huge burst on a target. This is especially helpful against a target that resists your, but not your allies, primary damaging type.
EdemBR 4 Apr, 2020 @ 9:38pm
man, id like demonic stare to have some kind of paralisis, as per story of the caracter, red prince paralising a succubus as the event he was expelled, making it more believable
Lizzie 2 Apr, 2020 @ 3:25pm
I second what AarkNoa has suggested. That very skill has been something I've wanted to use for a while now on a character; it reminds me of like Ciri's banshee-like shriek she used against the wild hunt, in The Witcher 3, or like Sylvana's Banshee shriek in the trailer "Warbringers: Sylvana's" if you wanna use those as any inspiration. It's too bad that the skill is only given in the end of the game, and it isn't useful right now.
AarkNoa 2 Apr, 2020 @ 10:38am
a rework of its own was on my mind, but making it part of the origin skills sounds intriguing too
especially for Lohse
frasdoge  [author] 2 Apr, 2020 @ 8:46am
@AarkNoa Glad you like it. As for the deafening shriek idea: do you mean make it a possible Origin skill and rework it, or have it as a rework on its own (or with other interesting but weak skills)?
AarkNoa 2 Apr, 2020 @ 6:35am
Nice mod *thumbs up* I really like the subtlty of your changes
say, is there any chance you could include the deafening shriek to your list? the skill always seemed like a neat asset to me, but it's so damn useless
frasdoge  [author] 31 Mar, 2020 @ 6:47am
@Hoshi With the changes I've made to the Soul Wolf I believe it's viable even if you choose to not spec into summoning.

Having it scale to be equally as powerful as a dedicated build with none of the investment doesn't sound particularly balanced to me.
Hoshi 31 Mar, 2020 @ 6:09am
What about not forcing Ifan's Soul Wolf to scale on summoning skill but istead just on level by nearly the same amount as if you had a summoning skills, this way we wouldn't be stuck in summoning role with Ifan and we could focus on anything else.

@It's Hedge The Pet Power patch is now up!
frasdoge  [author] 29 Mar, 2020 @ 6:42am
@It's Hedge I can upload a Pet Power compatibility patch shortly! :)
It's Hedge 29 Mar, 2020 @ 2:50am
Does the changes to Ifan's Soul Wolf work with the changes from the Pet Power add-on in the Gift Bags?
CoheedBlue 28 Mar, 2020 @ 10:35am
@frasdoge awesome! ty!
frasdoge  [author] 28 Mar, 2020 @ 9:58am
@CoheedBlue Yup, works mid play-through!
CoheedBlue 28 Mar, 2020 @ 9:56am
will this work mid play through? seems interesting...
Meat Man (Alfons) 28 Mar, 2020 @ 9:38am
Demonic Stare is very interesting now, nice
