@Mikeastro oh... Ok then :D
Mikeastro  [author] 20 Sep, 2024 @ 12:13pm
@UNDEFEAT Amazing work solving this one as well! The first room was intended to remind you that you can press buttons through grating :cozycrashfish:
UNDEFEAT 20 Sep, 2024 @ 10:52am
Liked this one very much!
I have only one question... After the first room I was sure it hints on usage of the null-portal in the main room. But I finished main room without that technique and didn't cheat in any way. I'm confused, what was the first room about?
Dopetob 12 Sep, 2024 @ 3:32pm
Took me a while about an couple of days the beginning and middle was easy the last part was very hard, had to go through every single combination to figure it out.

@_L Amazing work making it so deep into the series! Hope you will continue to enjoy it :]

it's a great map

May already be reported, but I think I found a VERY wrong solution lmao

The central trick it uses is, despite a portal anchor you can put a portal on the edge of the funnel's platform to "stop" it from going through to the other side. You then jump through, get stuck, and with a bit of wiggling around (and moving the portal) you can cheap your way into the funnel room. Once you've got that sorted it's surprisingly easy to finish the chamber.

This was a tricky one, I was stuck for maybe an hour in the second one. But oh man once I found the solution, what a rewarding feeling, only possible with great maps like these. This one and the whole map pack is going to my favorites!
Iron Wizard 1 Apr, 2023 @ 6:07am
Really good puzzle, that took me a while (and a look at the solution) to solve.
Mr Fab 14 Mar, 2023 @ 12:39am
This one gave the most amount of trouble  Favorited !
我爱你 8 Feb, 2023 @ 6:22am
should've been the last map, since this is the most difficult map in the series
Andy T 17 Jul, 2022 @ 7:26pm
Nice one, my usual Before-After method of bracketing in the solve needs little tweak and extra thought on it. This is a nice chamber; I see what the prelim tutorial room was for finally. Here the steps if someone got stuck, skipping the tutorial:

0. Calling the Island with Exit on top of it as i1, island with flip panel as i2, i3 for the Polarity Reverse button, i4 for pedestal and The Cage for funnel machine.
1. Drop cube and somehow have it sit the button in i2, i4 is no longer relevant in the game.
2. Do a portal link between i1 and i3 via way of i2.
3. Get the cube to i3 sitting on Polarity by way of i1.
4. Do a bit of portal shuffling so you can Mole Pop onto the opening to get a funnel, In to The Cage via the surface below Exit.
5. Quicksave here https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2836773823 , final choreographic move and beeline to the Exit.

nice map.I think it's 6/10
SpielSatzFail 15 May, 2022 @ 2:48pm
Man I was so clueless cause I was missing one crucial part (the moment you save the cube while keeping a certain portal). This one was the hardest of the whole series to me ^^ Thumbs up!
Mikeastro  [author] 14 May, 2022 @ 6:12am
@StackSmasher789 Thank you! Great work solving this one too :D The timing of the final move can actually be made easier if you use the undeployed angled panel to funnel the cube onto the button. I hope you will enjoy the last few maps too!
StackSmasher789 14 May, 2022 @ 6:04am
Very good Although the last step is slightly time sensitive, very cool concept. Use of the raised platform is 10/10! I started with thinking, "Huh, that raised platform near the exit is totally useless, I can totally do this without needing that platform". But no, after about 4 hours of thinking, I managed to get it. You are a madman Mike !
Mikeastro  [author] 17 Apr, 2022 @ 1:16pm
@Kliepatsch Thank you very much for the kind words! You display admirable tenacity. I'm very happy to hear that you enjoy this series. I hope you will like the last few puzzles as well :D
Kliepatsch 17 Apr, 2022 @ 12:55pm
Dude! Such a nice puzzle. Found your Reliquiae series over your YT video. The previous puzzles took me at most one hour each, which is nice. This one, however, I tried on three days and only on the third day when I had given up for the day, I found the missing link to the solution just by thinking about it. Thanks for all the effort you put into these nice maps.
Mikeastro  [author] 27 Feb, 2022 @ 4:12am
@olepatrick Yeah it's pretty tough. My ratings are more or less accurate for experienced players (i.e. those having spent at least a few hundred hours solving puzzles) as for most of my even more complex maps, they are the main audience. So please do not feel discouraged by the number 3.5, that means it's still fairly difficult :]
olepatrick 26 Feb, 2022 @ 7:03pm
3.5/10 difficulty? but it's so hard...
Lasse Hölderlin 1 Feb, 2022 @ 7:23am
Really good map, I took me like 30-60 min blocked in the first day, and like 5 min in the second day.
Mikeastro  [author] 29 Dec, 2021 @ 12:40am
@Joric Thanks for replaying! I like this one myself as well :]
Joric 28 Dec, 2021 @ 5:25pm
Replayed today (starting from Reliquiae #1). This is the best map so far. A lot of reuses and pretty complex to replay even after you solved it.
Aneonen 20 May, 2021 @ 2:36pm
Nice puzzle! Played this when it came out before I started leaving comments. the double-use of the angled panel as a fling and as a funnel-push was quite nice.
Mikeastro  [author] 9 Mar, 2021 @ 2:35am
@Gabriel Bacon Thanks a lot for playing, and excellent work solving it! I'm happy to hear that you continue to enjoy this series :D
@Lorne Malvo I hope you didn't get a notification for this... :P
Gabriel Bacon 8 Mar, 2021 @ 7:54pm
This one is awesome! Took me the longest of the series so far because I kept getting ahead of myself & flinging up to the back platform instead of simply climbing back up the stairs.
Silenius 21 Feb, 2021 @ 4:52pm
It is unchecked LOL
Mikeastro  [author] 21 Feb, 2021 @ 4:42pm
@Lorne Malvo Lol no problem. Just uncheck the box ''subscribe to discussion'' right above the field where you can type your comment. It should automatically unsubscribe you after a few comments, though :]
Silenius 21 Feb, 2021 @ 4:31pm
How do I unsub from comments lol, so it doesn't show in my notifications? Sorry, ty!
Mikeastro  [author] 21 Feb, 2021 @ 4:29pm
@Talisac Thanks for playing once more! This one can indeed be tricky to see. Indeed, that was the sole purpose of the tutorial room. You are probably right about those alternatives, but the glass hole makes portal shots so narrow and the laser field is so ugly... :P
Talisac 21 Feb, 2021 @ 3:13pm
Time for me to go sleep, because this one lasted about 3 times longer than #8. Again, lovely puzzle. Is the "tuto" only about button pressing throught grating? Because you can eventually put a glass with a hole frome PETI or something like that, or even laser field?
Mikeastro  [author] 17 Nov, 2020 @ 4:38am
@Lorne Malvo Don't worry, cube tossing is illegal in all my maps and is never required for the solution :] There's a perfectly logical way to solve it without any execution difficulty
Silenius 17 Nov, 2020 @ 4:17am
Am i suppose to throw cube on reverse beam button across ugly water? I saw this in portal 2 tricks. Not sure if this counts as gimmick. But it is kinda hard to do consistently, so i don't suppose that's the solution. I already deduced what i need to do in some parts, but something is missing in between - i have hard to time to deduce a missing part.
Muzozavr 21 Oct, 2020 @ 5:21am
Even the first room took a while because it's not a move that makes sense in-universe (in my own map "Two Cubes to Win", I also needed a button I could press on both sides and built an ugly construct to avoid having to do this sort of thing, so I should've recognized it quicker), but that did help figuring out the final moves.

Weirdly enough, the finale wasn't the hardest part for me. What stumped me longer than anything was how to get the cube to the funnel button without messing up your portal locations after the fling and I don't know why that was the hardest part for me, but I'm not even sure I remember the exact moves!

(Speaking of the fling , the funnel lets you do it safely every time, but if you're good enough you can even do it without the funnel. It doesn't change the overall solution, though.)
Jinx136 15 Oct, 2020 @ 2:28pm
@Mikeastro I already have completed the rest of the series, haha. :3
I'll surely keep an eye on your workshop for the levels you may publish in the future, though! ^.^
Mikeastro  [author] 15 Oct, 2020 @ 12:51pm
@Jinx136 Excellent work solving this one! It is definitely quite tricky to figure out - I admire your tenacity, staying with it for so long! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it in the end. And by the way, if you enjoy being challenged, you might enjoy the rest of the series as well :]
Jinx136 15 Oct, 2020 @ 11:59am
This took me days to figure out, and when I did, I could no longer remember what I did to solve it. ;-;

Thanks for the puzzle, I don't remember struggling against any puzzle like this, and completing it successfully was really satisfying. :steamhappy:
Mikeastro  [author] 23 Aug, 2020 @ 2:43pm
@P75Formula Jr Excellent work solving it! This one is quite tricky indeed. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed playing :]
A05Polzar 23 Aug, 2020 @ 2:34pm
I had been a couple of weeks since I lasted played. Well, I really enjoyed this puzzle, you think you have it but you don't (well until you do).
Mikeastro  [author] 11 Jul, 2020 @ 4:25pm
@Lepo You are correct that these maps are not easy. For very experienced players, I'd still classify them as easy/medium, but that means that for many people it will still pose a significant challenge. If you've come this far, I am confident that you will be able to solve the last three as well :] Regardless, I'm glad you liked these maps. Excellent work solving so many of them!
Lepo 11 Jul, 2020 @ 3:35pm
I wouldn't rate your maps as easy. It's more like medium/hard. I admit it's been a while since i last play P2, so i may be rusty but i was stuck in all this serie's maps. Except first 2.
Probably experienced players can finish them and i'm getting old. But easy? Nope. They're not.
I'm quitting here, to scared to go ahead for the last maps. Too much frustration.
But map design and puzzles are great. Good job! And loved the music too.

@mr. Out It took quite a long time to get everything right :] I'm glad you liked it. I agree that the tutorial room is quite helpful for this one
mr. Out 23 Apr, 2020 @ 5:45am
How long did you make this puzzle? That is so complex. By the way, the tutorial was good idea.
