Would it be possible to make the 4 color pen an optional add on? [TECT$ECore] Olipro's 4 Color Bic mod also adds in the same kind of pen. I really want to use both mods without having 2 pens that are basically the same spawn in game and also have bicscalibur from that mod b/c its hilarious. 😅

This mod had a 4-color bic before that other mod even existed, you don't need both.

@4 4Ever he's talking about map notes like the annotated ones with goodies. The menu map can also be drawn on with the draw on map mod

wait? can I draw on maps? can you please allow me to drawn on maps? I'm currently using window paint to draw on my maps, I hate knowing exactly where my character is on the map, it kills 80% of the game difficulty so I only use hand drawn maps, this is everything I've been wishing for a long time

im not sure it doesn't seem to be possible to write in an actual note book lay out yet opposed to the boring black ui

is there a way for me to blacklist certain items from spawning? i REALLY enjoy finding things like rubix cubes, but i have another mod that adds books with their real names into the game so every time i find a "novel" it kind of takes me out of the immersion.

oh btw I did mean to write notes in an actual note book like the screenshot. xD don't know if that's possible now. im about to do a play through again and this would of been great

@Novachrome: I disabled that when I had to update the mod after the huge map changes. I will add it again as an optional feature.

A couple of questions
-What does the 8 ball do aside displaying generic "positive07" type of things?
-Why can't I reload the cube to solve it again? This musn't be a single-use item. Imagine that in real life.

@soulfilcher - Cool, thanks for letting me know, I think an optional feature is a great idea! And I think that's a solution that makes sense, have the character move the media into their hands first in order to look at it. I think it adds some immersion.

Ohhh right, I guess I should make it move the item to the main inventory first if necessary to solve that bug. Writing notes got reverted to vanilla style after the major map overhaul because it was bugged, it will return as an optional feature.

For anyone having trouble viewing newspapers, magazines, etc. using the inspect function, make sure the item is in your inventory first, or else it will either flash or not show up at all.

One question I have is how to write on notes just like in the mod description, right now it's like vanilla. I am right clicking and selecting the option that starts "write note..." and the black square like in vanilla just shows up.

Lol... Looks like I had "Better cubes" and "Better video games" mods, that allowed to solve Rubik's cube and play that video game you can find in various places to fight boredom and depression. Those mods literally disappeared from workshop, their pages are no more...

What solving the cube actually is doing? Like, I solved it, it turned into a complete cube... And I can't do it again?

Hi! Just checking through my startup log, nixing errors on my mod-list and all that, and I found this one:

Narrowed it down to:

Line 68 calls the function 'CreateNote', but CreateNote doesn't exist in any mod that I have.

Actually just noticed the controller bug report above, I also play with controller due to keyboard issues. My incident was very much a repeat of their issue, only I can hit B to close it, the errors counting up with it open is the same still...

Yeah my son told me I should have tried posting that, sorry. I was being dumb and didn't grab that before starting a new save to mess with mod order and compare... Now I don't think it is there.

Can you post the log somewhere I can check? If it is was replaced already please save it if it happens again.

Not sure if it is just me, but I found a note that said in the description window that it is from this mod. When I first saw it in the car glovebox I got a couple errors, but picking it up and reading it threw me over a thousand errors. And yes I am picky about the mods I use, only soulfilchers and mods that say they work with yours...

#Puddings: This mod doesn't add the ability to use crayons that way so it is probably an incompatibility.

That option should not appear for blowtorches! I will fix that.

Each item has a ConditionMax value, that is the number of different images it can have. Add images in the textures folder using the same name logic as the ones already in there and increase that value for the item.

I want add some image on this mod, such as Book, Magazine and new paper. If possible i want to know how to add some image.

Multicolor pen works for map symbols, but not for writing on the map. It says I need the different pens to write something.

The multicolor pen does not function for me. I'm not sure if that also applies to other utensils or tools like that, but I was just trying to use it to transcribe my skill journal which didn't work and it also won't work for adding annotations to the game map. Otherwise great mods!

If you would like I can give you my mod load order, I managed to fix it so I'm sure my logs are overwritten by now but yeah, never had an issue before now.

Today I had an issue while using your mods. I was fine for the past 3 days, but randomly today while I was sleeping, my game crashed and all the mods of yours I have installed on the save became unusable. I have COOKING, FREEZING, RELAXING and FARMING installed, but are now disabled in the save alongside a "Vehicle Additions" mod. Just thought I should alert, not sure what is causing it.

What language would that be? I do't think a conflict should cause that bug, but whenever a translation isn't found the game should use the English text entries.

When I right click on the magic 8-ball, the 'question' text reads 'ContextMenu_Ask', and instead of the normal answers, it replies to the tunes of IGUI_Magic8Ball_Negative/Neutral/Positive0X, instead of the usual "yes" "no" "maybe" "feck owf an die", etc.

I am playing single player, but with many mods. I assume it's not a conflict, since 8-balls of the magic variety are not vanilla, and in so far as I am aware, not in any other mod. Unless the issue has to do with the right click context menu, which has broken mods such as Let Me Think, would there be anything else causing this?

I love this mod!! I assume there's a reason we can't scramble a Rubix cube and Solve again. Too OP? It could be neat! Regardless, thanks for a great mod!

@Mr. Moon [J521]: Writing notes using notebooks of sheets of paper is currently working like the base game. It relied on the old map code and I will have to rewrite that.

Happy to report that the latest update fixed the issue with Extra Map Symbols. Thanks Soulfilcher... you've saved my characters soul!

The notes overhaul still not working?

I'm using "Extra Map Symbols" instead of the symbols selection going down in colums they are instead going across in rows but because they are in the top right corner of the map they extend past the UI so they aren't able to be accessed.

What is the problem with the map?

Ha! I just spent an hour tracking down which mod was messing up my map only to find it and come here and read others reporting it! Bummer
