Concerning the Challenger II tank, I think this unit is not in the correct timeframe which is the Cold War. It is one of the Post-Cold War tanks that are in service as of 1998 when Tony Blair was UK's Prime Minister. This mod will require a change.

However, with JFD already released another UK civ with deals with Elizabeth II, looks like there's been no update regarding this one...

I think Thatcher's UU should be a submarine. My main memory of the Falklands war was how the British subs neutralised the Argentine navy.

You can play this with a world war 2 mod and replace Hitler with her.

Not sure if some of the coments below are intentionally being pig ignorant or not, but if they'd look at the Mod's workshop collection, they should find that there are other leaders from the same era as Maggie, and by the looks of it, designed for a scenario. Unfortanetly being on Mac, I don't have the resources or time to download each one manually, but looks like an interesting concept. :)

I don't know if you're aware, Mister modder, but the unit transport ships don't update them-selfs as time progresses. Meaning you're using medieval unit transport ships in the future era. Other than that it's a great mod!

Just so you know this, unit transport ships dont upgrade them-selfs. So in the futuer era you are still using the transport ships from the classical era.

You need to add a few things: Mines have -1 production, Constabularies and other anti-spy buildings incurr -1 happines each. Public schools have -1 food. Golden ages are followed by a short period of revolution. Construction of economic buildings slow worker speed.

Almost everyone in England hates margaret thatcher. She was a horrible prime minister who messed up our country and privatised everything so the rich had a better chance of success. I'd love it if you changed the leader to gordon brown or someone else with a little less hate surrounding them.

maggies trait should be a ten turn increase in gold say 10 percent. followed by a -50 percent gold and economics output defecit for 1000 turns.......

@tredekka11 - The trait is not about Thatcher, its about Britian. The leader can change but the trait belongs to the country. It depends, I either base it on the leader or the country.

Precisely how did Thatcher's rule improve the arts? I am all for including terrible leaders in Civ mods, but you at least have to give some connection between historical reality and the game. Otherwise, you may as well call the bloody mod "Great Britain under John Cleese" or something. Rule Britannia indeed. Feh.

Mao Zeodong duplicated lifespan of chinese people (for 32 years before the war to 65 years after it), but Tatcher privatized hospitals during a economical crisis so reduced lifespan in 10 years. Although I don't defend Mao, he saved more people he killed and Tatcher reduced helps to poor people to be able to reduce taxes to the high-class of society. A person who say that every men who is 26 and still taking the bus is loser in life cannot be a good leader.
