move the knees foward infront of the model maybe that'll work it normally does for me when doing rigs

not offhand. may need to manually make a new one for the marauder, i don't make IK rigs.

the model is really good but whenever I try and rig it the knees always seem to screw up and bend completely backwards, know any way to fix this?

failed installation is my guess. will likely need to reinstall if you dl'd through workshop.
