@Shin Takemiya probably if and when I ever get around to playing again
Shin Takemiya 13 Feb, 2022 @ 5:56am
will this be updated anytime?

You can't make Cheese on Auto Boiler.

XD it was reported as a bug in basic staples, so I'm not the one who caught it. that was someone on the discord. Cake batter uses a weird mechanic that nothing else in the game uses. it's easy to miss.
AllieCat  [author] 11 Jul, 2021 @ 8:36pm
@SF Hmm, good catch! I do tend to overlook things sometimes and I'll see if I have time to go back and take a look at it. I don't usually bake many cakes so I could have easily missed a detail.
SF 10 Jul, 2021 @ 4:27pm
Just reporting a bug: For mixing cake batters: cake batter mixes properly but the specialized batters (carrot cake batter, plain cake batter, etc) all output empty cake tins. They're all lacking the contains element that tells the game what batter to put inside them.
"contains": [
{ "code": "staxel.item.crafting.CakeChocolateBatter" }

This works exactly how I wanted it to. I mainly use it for boiling and mixing. Jam is a great money maker and I can just leave it making me hundreds of jam at at time. I made like 300k on just the strawberries i had waiting to make into jam. I still keep the default game ones for making other things, like cakes, but if you want something just to convert your raw ingredients to make more money these are amazing. TY!

I see I'm not the only one experiencing a glitch with the auto mixer and making cakes. Was making a cheesecake for Emilia and it gave me an empty circle cake tin. Had to run and buy a regular mixer to make it again. On the plus side that empty cake tin sold for 800 petals.
AlphaGodith 29 Dec, 2020 @ 12:33pm
the auto cutter seems to work like a charm tho
AlphaGodith 29 Dec, 2020 @ 12:32pm
the auto mixer seems to have an issue with cakes. it gives me an empty circle cake tin instead of a bakeable one, for both plain cake and chocolate.

@Don't Fear the Reaper I can't comment regarding the sugar recipe mod but make sure you don't stop the machines from processing either by right clicking them while they're running or moving too far away, as that will stop the process but not refund the materials.
Autumnus 1 Dec, 2020 @ 7:04pm
Reporting another glitch. Attempting to make cheese with the auto-boiler causes your ingredients to be eaten up. No cheese is given.
Autumnus 1 Dec, 2020 @ 2:28pm
Hey! So for some reason, the auto-chopping station doesn't seem to work with the sugar recipe mod? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1285093650

@hats You know, I think you're on to something there. Kudos on your keen observation and sharing your findings!

I have been able to replicate the problem with disappearing ingredients but unfortunately the bug itself seems to lie within the game's mod API. I'll try reaching out to the developers to see if a solution can be found. In the meantime I have a couple of ideas to try out to see if that offers any kind of reasonable work around for the time being. I'll post any updates here.
hats 24 Oct, 2020 @ 8:26pm
The ingredient loss in all machines doesn't seem to be linked only to sleeping. I started to cut 48 beets, and when I returned later the same day there were only 47 chopped beets. However, when I watched the process start to finish there was no loss. I would conjecture that it is linked to the player moving too far from the machine and the machine being unloaded.
Power King 13 Sep, 2020 @ 5:57am
I second the cake/mixer problem. Wasted a lot of ingredients and ended up with four empty cake tins. The auto mixer seems to be quite broken. Everything else works like it should, though.
AllieCat  [author] 27 Aug, 2020 @ 12:46pm
@hopelle
That's odd, I haven't noticed any cake problems myself but then I also don't bake cakes very often. I will see if I can replicate the problem and whip up a fix for it when I get a chance. Thank you for letting me know, and I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the mod :necroheart:
hopelle 27 Aug, 2020 @ 7:49am
Btw, something about the auto mixer seems to break cakes. The first step to cake batter works just fine, but the second step (adding sugar and possible other ingredients) just results in an empty cake tin. These won't bake in the oven and all stack regardless of trying to make different cakes.

Other than that, great mod!
AllieCat  [author] 26 Aug, 2020 @ 11:03pm
@Sunshine XIX
Sorry I haven't looked into it too much, the problem seems to be with some way the API works. There still may be a way to fix it, but here lately I've been busy and also been getting into other games, but I will eventually get back to working on it.
AllieCat  [author] 26 Aug, 2020 @ 11:02pm
@RazzerTazzer07
Did you buy the new stations from the catalog? The plugin won't change the existing tables you already have.
RazzerTazzer07 2 Jul, 2020 @ 11:21pm
I couldn't get it to work so I removed it.
SunBun XIX 6 May, 2020 @ 7:44pm
@NiccyNeko I wasn't able to duplicate the issue 100% of the time, but it does seem to occasionally lose a set of ingredients when mixing overnight.
AllieCat  [author] 6 May, 2020 @ 12:04am
@Sunshine XIX Good thinking! I hadn't thought to try that yet but you may be on to something there. Nice work! Let me know what you find out, and I'll have a chance to look into it in the next few days or so.
SunBun XIX 5 May, 2020 @ 6:48pm
I can confirm that I lose a set of ingredients each time I leave it running overnight, which might count as an interruption. I'll check and see if mixing a lower amount of ingredients at a time before I sleep negates that.
Septimal 30 Apr, 2020 @ 11:01pm
@NiccyNeko I'm gonna keep running it while being careful along side the games mixer. I do really love this mod though. The automatic function is amazing and I'll keep using it while looking into it. I think it's well worth it.
AllieCat  [author] 30 Apr, 2020 @ 11:13am
@Septimal Actually, there have been a couple times I think I ran into the same problem and wasn't sure if it actually happened or I'm just crazy. Not sure what's causing it but I'll look into it the best I can. And what @Celestialle said is true, if you interrupt it while it's doing it's thing you'll lose one set of the ingredients.

Thanks for sharing, I always appreciate the feedback! :StarwhalBlue:
Septimal 29 Apr, 2020 @ 8:23pm
@Celestialle I might have done just that. I have been extra careful so far and haven't had an issue.
Celestialle 29 Apr, 2020 @ 2:15pm
@Septimal.

If you interrupt it while it is doing its thing, it will certainly do that. It has already started to process an item so it disappears if you mess with it before it is done.

If that isn't the case then I don't know what might be happening for you. I haven't had any issues so far.
Septimal 29 Apr, 2020 @ 12:03am
I found that I'm actually loosing items using the Auto Mixer. I started with 8 Milk and ended up with 6 butter after 2 batches of mixing. It's like it ate 1 each time I threw a stack on.
