Do you have any interest in adding the expansion content? Or at least helping someone understanding the scripting so I can add it myself. Thanks for the mod, it is crazy good!

I am still puzzled about how you managed to deal with the automatic control token placement. That "unpackZoneLookup" is something impressive, congratulations!
Americano 13 Sep, 2021 @ 11:19am
Anyone want to play this let me know. Looks fun
Sashraan 24 Aug, 2021 @ 7:02pm
Is this mod still being updated? Would be good to see if the issue reported by LittleNose and Lisandro were fixed, as I'd like to run a game for a board game night. :)

Thank you for the quite extensive work on this, ZiRo, and I hope it's working great!

hey guys, sorry if this was addressed already but are MOMENTUM cards scripted? is there a way to properly activate them? ive been moving these cards onto the CAPABILITIES & MOMENTUM but the script throws an error. should I just move them away from the discard pile? thanks for the awesome mod btw.
zhong13fen7ban 16 Jun, 2021 @ 6:42am
where did u get all the pictures
infinity  [author] 23 Feb, 2021 @ 11:53am
That shouldn't happen. I'll take a look at some point soon!
LittleNose 2 Jan, 2021 @ 9:26am
A quick question...
How do we use the Momentum and Capabilities Box?
I manually moved the card & counter there, but at the Coup round it threw up an error.

Game doesn't crash or anything, but I'd like to know how I'm meant to do this
Safe-Keeper 30 Nov, 2020 @ 9:41pm
If you're still working on this, may I suggest that you take that last slot in the menu (the one where you get to choose which campaign to play, and whether to play with historical events) and make it the tutorial setup? As in, the full campaign, but the deck of cards already arranged as instructed in the playbook?
Safe-Keeper 4 Aug, 2020 @ 2:55pm
I honestly don't remember if I already said so, but thank you so much for this. You helped me discover, not to mention learn, what's by far become my favourite strategy/wargame. Will definitely be buying more COIN games down the road!
KarateSnoopy 4 Aug, 2020 @ 1:58am
btw, for folks that like this game I recommend you go to https://www.gmtgames.com/p-856-fire-in-the-lake-trung-bot-update-pack.aspx and pre-order the bot. Its cheap enough and gives money to GMT Games who spent the money to make this great game.

When you get the bot, I suspect it'll be easy enough to use TTS along with the physical bot
Davout 11 Jun, 2020 @ 12:42pm
Great job ! Thank you.
Wyrtt 31 May, 2020 @ 6:29am
Looks like a resonable request from gmt. Im not purist and prefer digital comfy versions of boardgames I own. So whole piracy whining from publishers as excuse to hunt those mods down is stupid.
But a compromise like that? I think its a fine line.
infinity  [author] 27 May, 2020 @ 5:55pm
@GeneticAlchemy - Fixed, thanks for the report!
GeneticAlchemy 22 May, 2020 @ 8:10am
Mod is awesome right now but I notice that if you have ARVN Rangers on Laos/Cambodia during redeploy phase, a scripting error pops up. Is this a bug or the rules dont allow you to put Rangers there and I've been playing wrong?
infinity  [author] 19 May, 2020 @ 5:47am
I've added a note, @HRose. I was waiting for GMT to come back to me. They have now done so.

Indeed, solitaire bot charts are not included. This is a direct request from the mothership. GMT Games are watching, and are happy that this mod exists, but have specifically (and directly) asked me that solitaire charts are not included. These are reasonable terms for this mods continued existence -- they could easily ask Steam to remove it.

To be clear, and final: For solo play with bots, you are expected to use the solitaire bot charts from your physical copy of the game.
HRose 18 May, 2020 @ 1:56pm
It should be added in the description that it's missing the AI instructions.
Knaughx 12 May, 2020 @ 12:59pm
Hi, wanted you know that your mod has been added to my collection: Board Game Geek - BGG - May 2020 - Best Mod for each of the Top 500 Rated Games. Collection here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086043930

The collection used this priority system:

1. Mod's Files Availability: Mod with all/most files still available for download
2. Feature completeness: Mod with greatest inclusion of expansions and/or promos available for the board game title
2. Scripting: Mod with scripting that most reduces work in setup/play for players
3. Component Quality: Mod with the best visuals/usability in terms of component quality
4. Table Setup/Ambiance: Mod with the best immersion with table, background, and other modeling.

Please also note that a mod that makes selection for this list very well could be one in which the mod author borrowed the majority of assets from another workshop listing, so full thanks to all who worked on a mod.

Thanks for your hard work!

This is the class of the Fire in the Lake mods. The auto updating vp track made me giggle like an 8 year old girl. So pleased. Thanks!
infinity  [author] 3 May, 2020 @ 1:55pm
@rdpierce right click mate. There's a tooltip when you hover over the counter and everything.
rdpierce 2 May, 2020 @ 5:44pm
I am new to this mod. I see a single button on top of each faction’s resource counter that increases that resource, but I don’t see a corresponding button to spend the resource. Am I missing something?
dragonofblood691 30 Apr, 2020 @ 5:23pm
DoukNaga, thanks! Still new to TTS and didn't know that would work. Cheers!
Mussed 30 Apr, 2020 @ 12:27pm
You can rescale the pawn probably yourself easily. Take one out, scale it down, click "reset" (right click, then choose reset) on the infinite bag holding the other pawns, and put in your newer smaller pawn.
dragonofblood691 27 Apr, 2020 @ 11:16pm
LauBox, the guerillas are state based, as are the opposition/support markers. You can use the number keys 1 through 5 while highlighting the desired piece to change the state.

This is the best scripted game I've come across on TTS, kudos and thank you Ziro. Just curious if there's any desire to make the black and white pawns smaller? Cheers!
LauBox 26 Apr, 2020 @ 11:06am
Flipping the guerilla units don't work. Its a lovely module, but this makes it unplayable :( both sides of the pawns are the same.
ashmizen 21 Apr, 2020 @ 2:26pm
Truly outstanding! Some of the best scripting I've seen and great for a learning too (basically taught me how to do a coup round)
Sebmono 9 Apr, 2020 @ 1:40pm
Just started playing around with this module and....WELL DONE SIR! This is excellent, proper scripting is on point. Kudos to you!
infinity  [author] 9 Apr, 2020 @ 3:23am
@GreenDoggie You'll need to bring your own Solitaire. This is to encourage support for GMT Games.
GreenDoggie 8 Apr, 2020 @ 3:17pm
Hi Ziro,

I am new to TTS and new to FitL so I might be missing something but I am trying to find the flow charts I think for non player factions for solo/solitaire play?
infinity  [author] 8 Apr, 2020 @ 1:24pm
Released a bunch of @DoukNaga and @KarateSnoopy's suggestions.
- Support/Oppose is now a 5-state object with Neutral in the middle
- Increased player pawn size to make them more obvious (you really can't miss them) and added Clear Pawn buttons
- Added 3 coloured dice as per original game
- Map is now not interactable
- Some other misc tweaks
infinity  [author] 7 Apr, 2020 @ 6:51am
I've created the COIN Series Players Club Discord [discord.gg] to help people who want to play COIN Series games connect with other players. If you're keen to play but have no-one to play with, this is the ticket!
k1LL3r_5uiT 6 Apr, 2020 @ 6:31pm
Thanks for all your hard work! Haven't played a game as of yet, but its great to see that you are looking at improving the mod even more :cozybethesda:
infinity  [author] 6 Apr, 2020 @ 12:51pm
Just released an update which should fix some performance/crashing issues that some users were having.

I had added compressed PDFs which meant lower file size (better for loading) but they were compressed, which made them taxing for some users, causing crashes.
GeneticAlchemy 6 Apr, 2020 @ 7:48am
I prefer flip guerrillas due to aesthetics and I have never had any issue with them falling, but I guess it is safe to have them stated. However I do prefer the support/neutral/opposition markers as they are right now, as they are quite pleasant and more like the non virtual boardgame.
dominick.duhamel 5 Apr, 2020 @ 7:23pm
Stated guerillas is the way to go for the reason you cited--if they fall over, they maintain their state.

I do think 5-stated support/neutral/opposition would be ideal. Saves some time dragging pieces to and fro.
smith4jp 5 Apr, 2020 @ 3:25pm
this looks awesome!
Dre2Dee2 4 Apr, 2020 @ 8:44pm
thanks, you are doing the Lord's work
infinity  [author] 4 Apr, 2020 @ 3:46am
Also, regarding my two questions, if you're a fan of the way things are now, please do post because it's likely that people who would prefer a change will be more vocal!
infinity  [author] 4 Apr, 2020 @ 3:44am
Same question with regards to the support/oppose markers, since a 5-stated support/oppose marker was suggested. Would that be preferable over the two separate flipped markers there are at the moment? I'm happier with these markers being flipped because they're rarely picked up or moved, meaning their side doesn't need to be preserved, but having one marker capable of representing all 5 states could be preferable. Let me know your thoughts!
infinity  [author] 4 Apr, 2020 @ 3:43am
Feedback request: Stated Guerillas, yay or nay? Would you prefer flipped? Why? My thinking is that stated Guerillas preserve their state even if they fall over or are picked up using right click (which causes them to tumble over in your hand) so their state will always be preserved. Aesthetically though, I prefer the flipped version. I tried in vein to script the flipped version to maintain their active/underground states but I couldn't create an experience I liked. I'm open to switching back to flipped though, arguments/opinion for both appreciated
infinity  [author] 4 Apr, 2020 @ 3:26am
Specifically:
Clear up pawn buttons
5-stated support/oppose markers
Make the board interactable, with some other tweaks I'll need to make to make that possible
infinity  [author] 4 Apr, 2020 @ 3:22am
@paulyd83 since I'd seen your comments on other COIN workshop items in a similar vein, I'd been waiting for your comment. The others are right and you've been extremely rude.

@everyone who posted up, thanks for your support - let's not feed the troll any more :)

On the development front, I'm intending to make a couple of material improvements this weekend, but they're just convenience improvements, nothing to stop you starting a game this weekend!
DaPineaple 3 Apr, 2020 @ 9:04pm
@paulyd83 why would I need the bot sheets? I have them right in front of me on my desk.
Game Sage 3 Apr, 2020 @ 10:52am
This mod is amazing as it is. If you want a mod with bots then go do it yourself, and stop whining or finding fault on other people's work, @paulyd83
ebbecee 3 Apr, 2020 @ 4:51am
@paulyd83 You do realise that GMT is ok with publishing stuff like this and the vassal mod, but want to leave some content as an incentive to buy the game, right? The author of this mod wants to respect that.
TheOneAndOnly 3 Apr, 2020 @ 3:36am
@paulyd83 its a free mod, be happy its here at all. This game isn't made to play singleplayer, so why are you even expecting bots?
Velomi 2 Apr, 2020 @ 6:53am
@Ziro - Thanks for your very quick response! I know and respect that. I have a few GMT COIN games and a lot of GMT games in general but not this one. I have the new FiTL bots (card-based) on GMT's P500 and would love trying the game without having to buy it upfront nor having to play with opponents, I'll obviously buy it later.
