Also, if anyone (like me) wonders about the perks that can't be bought in the GTS:
In my latest playthrough I looked carefully and I noticed that these perks are applied automatically when a soldier "masters" a class. I guess the perks are just listed in the GTS so that you can see them. This might not be entirely clear from the description (or I may just be stupid). Hope this helps someone. :)
Now I understand
I don't even understand what you're saying. If you're talking about Stormrider CLASS not showing up while you play with RPGO and RPG Overhaul Specialization Pack - Stormrider, then it is 100% intended and that's how it's supposed to be.
And I can't wee it
Yes? That's the expected behavior. RPGO Specialization Pack disables the standalone Stormrider class so it cannot be assigned with Commander's Choice or picked at random.
When I want to promote with commander's choice
I can't see the stormrider and all the mods I need are enabled
When I first read the description, I didn't realize the mention of "soldiers" at the beginning was referring to a specific class. I hadn't tried Musashi's RPGO or new classes before; I assumed it just meant soldiers in general.
As the description says, this mod adds four perk rows for the RPGO's soldier class. You should be able to see them on the soldiers' promotion screen. Have you tried scrolling?
However I have only ever seen 4 classes: rocketeer, infantry, psi operative, soldier. I've promoted about 20 soldiers and those are the options I always get. I have never seen Stormrider or some of the other Musashi's RPG-O compatible classes I added via mods like Infiltrator.
Is there a limit of 4? Or do these perks just appear as options when I pick "Soldier" (I don't think I've seen Stormrider mentioned anywhere in game at least) ...Or is there something I'm missing?
First paragraph of the description of this mod says what kind of specializations it adds.
There isn't.
It already supports Ever Vigilant if you get the required mod. I don't recall if I added support for RFA.
The momentum ability granted by theses skills seems to stack with other momentum abilities from other skill paths, weapons and armor (like the ninja armor from the super soldiers mod). It also stacks with skills/perks that allow follow up attacks on kill or attacks (that result in a kill) that only use 1 action point.
I am a big fan of stormriders, as you know. I'll be back as a patreon as soon as I can.
Rgds
See if learning any Stormrider perk fixes it. If not, use the RPGO_RebuildSelectedSoldier console command.
I've released a major update to this plugin. Please check the updated description above so you know how it is supposed to work now.
Heart of the Storm ability has been removed from the mod, because it's no longer necessary. You may see a black icon and "missing localization" warning on your existing soldiers. This is a cosmetic issue and is safe to ignore.
Both Riposte and Bladestorm will work in parallel. There might be some issues with visualization, but functionally they should work.
Riposte doesn't counter all attacks, only the ones that didn't hit or were dodged, normally you cannot that happen 100% of the time without additional abilities and/or items.
I do have one question though. What happens if I pick ranger and stalwart specializations on a soldier and then spec into bladestorm and riposte? Will they conflict with each other?
By the way, Riposte is OP as hell, especially against ruler aliens as it counters each of their attack. But I am not asking for a nerf. Fun > balance.
You should not be able to pcik Heart of the Storm multiple times. Even if you can - don't.
