Hi, checking the files of your mod I've noticed that on various files there are still "lifestyle_traits = 1" conditions here and there and are all connected to the Duelist trait. Is there a reason for it?

Does it work with unlimited focus? Also, is AI affected too?

it should work with those mods the WOL mod only adds new events and the TSE mod only edits a file filled with non lifestyle events

Does this mod work together with your other mods? Namely 'Trait Softcap Exterminated' and 'Missing WoL Education events'? I'm gonna guess with the softcap mod yes, but the WoL education one idk.

that sounds great if it works then upload it i will keep my janky patching every file mod and you can have the fancy new just changes some traits mod that probably works much better i might even link your version if people like it

@XDbored oh come on that is mincing words. :D you know thats exactly what i meant. The featurecreep and WoL in particular is what i meant.

After doing it the way I described, I was able to get the Tower event while having Scholar. Should mention that getting rid of ALL of the lifestyle bools will crash the game, but I fixed this by adding an inaccessible dummy lifestyle trait at the end.

the vanilla game is very clean like looking at CK2 code compared to even a masterpiece like Factorio its really impressive and the game is mostly bug free so i wouldn't call the game as a whole messy
its just a lot of the DLC stuff that is messy retinues are messy republics are messy nomads are messy education is messy i think there are 2 problems there best Programers write new games not expansions so that clean nice code is not present when they release expansions

and secondly when buggy expansions do come out they never get fixed properly because they don't want to waste development time on something only a portion of the userbase will use

in all fairness, ck3 is right around the corner, would be kinda a waste to invest time in the messy AF ck2 now...
XDbored  [author] 3 Jul, 2020 @ 12:50am
not sure if that would get them all the WOL events are really messy might look at it later
HansTheHuman 29 Jun, 2020 @ 4:03pm
Wouldn't it just be easier to remove the "lifestyle = yes" lines from the 00_traits.txt and 02_traits.txt files?

i noticed. the entire 3.X.X is kinda like a dumpsterfire when it comes to events... seems to work with 3.3.3. though.

god, i hope ck3 isn't going to be that messy on release
XDbored  [author] 31 May, 2020 @ 11:44pm
yeah the WOL events are a a absolute nightmare scattered around so many different files and i swear half of them don't even work in vanilla this mod kind of worked in 3.3.2 it probably wont work with any newer versions or any other mods that edit events
donschmiddy 26 May, 2020 @ 7:14am
oh boy the compabitlity is really crappy :D I think it works but considering how often those events fire it is a miricale if you get 1-2 lifestyle traits ...

Doesn't seem to be working.
