Sometimes the storeroom door doesn't open.
Sometimes the bolt cutters don't spawn.
Sometimes the fires spawn so you can't get off the bottom floor.
Sometimes the elevator just decides not to work.
I love the idea behind this but it's functionally unplayable right now. I have yet to even leave the hotel because of the above glitches. Part of what makes the base Contagion maps work is that so many of them have multiple keys or ways to get out of an area; L4D, being incredibly linear, doesn't have the ability to feature multiple exits but the fact key items just choose not to spawn and softlock you consistently is honestly something that should be within the mod author's control.
this issue is present on carnival as well.
