Anyone can confirm whether this excellent mod still works or not?
Bobinator The Destroyer!  [author] 9 Jan, 2023 @ 3:23pm
@darkangle don't use both! lol
Darkangel 9 Jan, 2023 @ 1:27am
btw industry 4.0 made the situation worse actually as it raised the education requirements so if you are encouraging dropouts that lead to lower education levels you will find icons with a lot of blue coats displaying.
Bobinator The Destroyer!  [author] 8 Jan, 2023 @ 4:46pm
@sleepwalking poet this mod is unmaintained and probably doesn't work anymore
Bobinator The Destroyer!  [author] 8 Jan, 2023 @ 4:45pm
I suppose that does have a similar overall effect of having less highly-educated workers to to work lower-education jobs. Combine it with, I think, "industry 2.0" to raise industry education requirements, and you got the intended vanilla solution.

There's other ways to make sure every job has a worker, this was just one of them.

Wouldn't 'schools out' policy do the same thing as your mod?
The Engineer Pop 14 Oct, 2022 @ 6:43pm
Does this mod increse resignation rate of DLC Campus students?
The Engineer Pop 9 Oct, 2022 @ 7:40pm
I have 44% of Highly Educated cims now, by only Lv1 Trade School.
Is this mod not applied to Campus DLC colleges?
The Engineer Pop 7 Oct, 2022 @ 7:35pm
Thanks.
Bobinator The Destroyer!  [author] 7 Oct, 2022 @ 7:34pm
@The Sleepwalking Poet: From what I remember of how the mod works, it shouldn't be the cause of your problem.

Distance and transportation are a factor in whether or not a student goes to college. IE, if they live far away from the college, they won't attend.

If a student got a job before they went to college, I don't think the base game lets them quit and go to college, but they will still show up as college eligible.

There's probably other factors as well.

Is it a drawback of Dropout mod?

Education panel says there are over 1000 of potential University student in my city, but although I established Trade College (the only higher education institute in my city) only 76 students enrolled and even it decreases over time...
Bobinator The Destroyer!  [author] 23 Sep, 2022 @ 7:33am
@Sleepwaking Poet No, I'm not maintaining this mod anymore. I haven't known if it works for quite some time as I've stopped using it myself. I'll update the description.
The Engineer Pop 22 Sep, 2022 @ 7:45pm
Hello. Is this mod administrated now? 2 years are passed and 2 more Expansion DLC has launched.
kreaturen 4 Jul, 2022 @ 10:59am
Huh, I always used this mod for realism purposes, not job filling purposes, hope it still works. Even though 'Compatability mod' says I should delete it, it doesn't list any issues... I'm gonna try ;)
Bobinator The Destroyer!  [author] 8 Mar, 2022 @ 5:34pm
@cultural_lover I have no idea lol, I stopped it using myself and switched to the Employ Over-Educated Workers mod. Accomplishes the same goal without making you cims dumb.
cultural_lover 7 Mar, 2022 @ 10:15pm
does this mod stil work
Darth_Jimbo 30 Apr, 2021 @ 3:41am
@Bobinator: The hadron collider is doing weird things. I'm not really sure, wether it's a bug, a mod conflict or something else. The HC seems to override dropout-rules. All my cims get either well or highly educated (depending on university boost checkbox on the HC). The real problem is, that I got many well or highly educated teens and even children now working and stealing jobs from the adults xD. Maybe you can somehow disable children and teens going to work. Thanks.

@Pectus right after your quote, the OG modmaker says "20% (15%) will flunk out and become Educated." So yes, 15% of high schoolers will lose their "educated" status.

as for reducing the total amount of students, it shouldn't except for university students. Unless there's a bug in the original mod, or the game changed something, but I haven't noticed.
The Engineer Pop 23 Mar, 2021 @ 10:40pm
Does this mod reduce the amount(?) studaents itself? When I turned this mod on it seems that drastically few students attend to school at all.
The Engineer Pop 22 Mar, 2021 @ 6:34am
"At the end of high school, 15% (0% with Education Boost) of sims will flunk completely and become Uneducated." The original modmaker said.
Then, some primary school graduates lose their "educated" status when graduate high school?

Thanks for your fix. I haven't played cities for about a year, decided to today... spent all morning frustrated trying to figure out the cause of the age error. You saved me!
raki-can 23 Jun, 2020 @ 2:33am
Thank you for your reply again. I found this to be one of my needs!
Bobinator The Destroyer!  [author] 22 Jun, 2020 @ 12:28pm
@raki-can Yes
raki-can 22 Jun, 2020 @ 2:19am
Well, sorry, I'm not an English speaker so I can't fully understand your answer.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please answer "Yes" or "No" to the following questions.
"If I have both the "best" series mod educational facility and Dropouts Sunset Fix enabled, are there any under-educated residents in my city according to the Dropouts Sunset Fix settings?" Y/N?
Bobinator The Destroyer!  [author] 20 Jun, 2020 @ 10:55pm
The "best" series appear to be assets with the vanilla specs maxed out. Those specs are not considered by this mod.
raki-can 20 Jun, 2020 @ 6:49pm
Does this leave some under-educated even with the building of some very powerful educational facilities MOD?
For example, "Best Elementary School". (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2015196974)
jayminer97 5 May, 2020 @ 7:58am
thanks man
saintkhawnan 21 Apr, 2020 @ 6:45pm
Thanks for the FIX:) Blessings to you!
kreaturen 12 Apr, 2020 @ 4:09pm
Thank you for fixing it. This is such an unassuming, yet essential mod
Bobinator The Destroyer!  [author] 8 Apr, 2020 @ 2:35pm
@christiano0o0 Sorry for any confusion, but the fix does work :)
christiano0o0 4 Apr, 2020 @ 3:14pm
hope you can make it work
John Rambo 2 Apr, 2020 @ 8:09am
@Bobinator that's super weird that the field is not accessible in-game.
Bobinator The Destroyer!  [author] 2 Apr, 2020 @ 5:53am
@Rambo, all I did was change the direct usage of the field ".m_age" to the property ".Age". I have NO idea why it broke as "m_age" is still there and marked public. This is literally my first tiptoe into Cities Skylines modding.
Kombinator 2 Apr, 2020 @ 1:59am
Thank you for the fix
John Rambo 1 Apr, 2020 @ 11:21pm
Coould you release the source code with the fix, please? I'm curios what the issue was, the mod worked fine for me, I checked the code and nothing seemed off (the "missing" field from the errors still exists).
benzoll 1 Apr, 2020 @ 5:12pm
Thanks by updated mod. :highlvl:
This was the first mod that solved the issue of over-education. :secrectorder:
