I don't even have the game installed anymore. I put all the best advice in the Troubleshooting section.

The only thing not mentioned there is other mod conflicts, if you're running a lot of other mods there could be conflicts.

I am running on a very capable modern rig, I have the crash dump, can you at least help me figure it out? I literally bought the DLC to play your mod :(

Nothing's changed in years, but the mod is not very efficient, if you're running on an older computer it may not be able to handle some of the models/textures. I'm very checked out and no longer playing supporting this sorry!

Ayo I keep getting crashes on this, I swear this mod is so cool but I can't ever use it because I get crashes mid game, anybody found a fix for this? I have DLCs and did the troubleshoot but I can't fix it.

Haha, I'm so glad people are still getting something out of this. I haven't had the motivation to mod for anything lately but this and my other mods for PF had me really driven and took a lot of time and effort to make. I am sad I didn't have it in me to do every secret tech.

Heavy Weapons Chopper for Assembly seems to be missing in game, at least it doesn't appear in ingame Imperial Archives

Yep, can confirm it's a campaign issue. Both the vanilla and revelations campaigns crash on me when I try to interact with shakram or oathbound units. And then invasions campaign is fine with shakram units, but crashes for oathbound ones. And it's the opposite for the latest campaign - no issues with oathbound units, but crashes for sharkam ones.

In other words, campaigns seem to be unplayable as each time you interract with units from a race that, I suppose, are not meant to be there, it crashes.

The vanilla campaign keeps crashing on me with both this mod and other new units mods enabled. Whenever they are involved in any battle, manual or automatic, even when I try access their entries in the encyclopedia or just search for them in it. I suspect it has something to do with dlc factions because I noticed it's shakran and oathbound new units that do this. There is no problem with them in other game mods.

same that Buther and Rennan..crash randomly on neutral camps. Forced to disable the mods to keep playing..really a shame :(

The mod and game have not changed in like a year, I don't have PF installed anymore, unfortunately. I have moved on to AOW4. I can only suggest the troubleshooting methods in the description I am not offering any support for these mods anymore.

Like Rennan, my game crashes constantly. The only mods I'm using currently are all made by you other than Nexus. I tried all of the troubleshooting steps in your posts but I'm not going to bother with posting a bunch of code since you're not supporting this mod and, plus, it is an issue that you've known about since 2022 according to previous posts you've made in the bug section.

It's the neutral camps on the map that crash the game. Specifically neutral camps filled with Vanguard units. When they die - whether on the player's turn or the AI's - the game crashes. Whether auto-calc or manual, the effect is the same.

I wasn't on planning on saying anything until I saw you say, "There'd be dozens of people posts on here if it was broken..." Well, no, most people don't complain. They just uninstall a mod if it's broken and move on.

Mate, I'm sorry it's not working for you but I can say with confidence from many posts before you that this is not the fault of this mod. There'd be dozens of people posts on here if it was broken and I haven't updated it in like over a year and PF hasn't updated in longer than that. It's most likely steam being shit at downloading mods and I have written troubleshooting instructions on this mods description. I'm not actively modding supporting this anymore sorry.

Could you please upload this mod on Nexus or paradox plaza or anywhere you wish please? I saw you mentioning about steam not downloading the right files and i don't know if that is my issue

No these units do not evolve like the AM units, that's not a setting I can just enable the creator manually made unit evolutuions for all his and the standard racial units. The units in this mod should work similarly to Minor Faction units like Spacers in that they have 3 mods slots but cost more costmite or something. I forgot how he balanced in AM.

It's working for me, and I'm only using the Steam Workshop for the mod. I would guess it's another mod conflicting function for you, sadly.

Nervemind, the steam ver isnt working, but the guide to move from workshop folder to local + enabling the local (ver without a image in mod list) did work. "5. If the mod still doesn't appear at all go to the workshop folder, copy the Expanded Arsenal zip file from there to C:\Users\USER\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Age of Wonders Planetfall\Mods make a new folder called Expanded Arsenal, put the zip in there, open the game launcher, you may need to add the mod with the button in the top right and attempt the run the mod locally, this will not get future updates from steam unless you repeat the process." :winter2019neutralyul: keep everything zip and get use to not having a mod image and everything works just fine. Steam is odd

This mod no longer works as of v1.4.0.4.43827 (with or without nexus). Unit options not visible for all races.

I wasn't 'asking' for anything, I was simply suggesting. But if you moved on, that's perfectly fine and understandable. It's just the way you bit my head off, and locked down that thread... That was just uncalled for.

I do thank you for the apology, and I accept it. But the way that was handled in the first place, in my opinion, is just about as 'nasty' as it gets. So I simply suggest, that next time you think before you act.

@Vengeant So... There are XML files in the mod that you can edit, the in-game text is sourced from them. I think I wrote instructions on how to set up the mod locally because some people have bugs running mods on steam. Anyway if you set it up locally steam won't try to 'update' the mod files to the latest version and you can playtest any changes you make. You won't be able change the text for the newer units, most of the T3 units because I did the text a bit differently, you'll see some XML files have just {name} in them, you can use a tag like that in game to just write the text in game, which works better for my modding workflow. But those newest units have less spelling errors anyway.

And I'm not working on these mods anymore. I'm just not playing the game anymore and don't have any motivation to mod plus AOW4 is well on the way.

Yeah, that's not really my 'department'. I mean I can get mods on load lists that 'shouldn't work at all together', to work flawlessly, by managing plug-orders.

But creating anything new, and even the simplest editing of an already existing mod, I just can't seem to figure out.
Hell, I tried to edit a mod added outfit for Fallout 4, via written instructions, to allow for the outfit to have legendary mods added to it; And it didn't work.

So yeah, we all have our talents. And making/editing mods, is just not one of mine.

@wandering mania the beastmen faction's squirrel is probably a great place to jurry rig a new artillery unit. That unit's main attack is indirect fire. If you got the time and the curiosity planetfall has built in modding tools so you can basically teach yourself to make mods.

I agree. Some artillery units would be a very nice addition. Even more so if they had 'indirect fire' (no line of sight needed, as long as some other unit can see the location).

Any plans for new units? I made a post on your unit wishlist subthread about a month ago and got no reply.

I strongly believe the game lacks dedicated artillery units, as in, glass cannons, with long range, damage and low hp/defenses.

I found out the game has a debug console, all it told me was it was selecting/ordering an independent army stack and crashed. Uninstalling mod, fiddling with game cache and reinstalling didn't fix the error.

I know there was a version or two of this mod that had crashes when I added the EA units to the spawn sets. Unfortuneately steam is crap at updating mods and people get stuck on them without manually un subing and re subbing or manually deleting the mod files for steam to re download them.

@axon @Juz I have been getting crashes on marauder turn randomly in campaign and random games. My limited insight into the crash dump showed the game was returning an unrecoverable error when it tried to change/set an invalid integer on a memory address, though thats as far as I could understand of it. I'll presume I have a bad install of the mod and just try uninstalling, clearing files and reinstalling. Just pointing out whatever it is I seem to have the same issue.

That sounds like it could program/folder permission issues, like AOW doesn't have permission to look in those folders or something.
