Yes, but Mark III was very similiar to Mark II (used in ww1) but was used in ww2 only

The Lewis was mainly used when the British didn't have enough Brens,and also by the Australians,New Zealanders,and Canadian troops

Was the Lewis gun used in place of the Bren when it wasn't available? (As in for frontline troops).
