Lots of other mods don't though.
Grazie
I have realised that I'm not even running the local version of the mod (I changed OS), so I seem to be ok with the workshop version, even on the new update.
The "fixed" GitHub version only talks about fixing things like several typos, grammar and updating descriptions. I could find nothing in that GitHub pull request which talks about anything serious like fixing a game-breaking bug or an actual gameplay issue.
For that matter, a player would have to download and install Microsoft Visual Studio and then compile a new version from the pull request code because it only includes the source code. That is beyond the ability (and patience) of most players.

So you can once again add modded buildings where you want them in the build menu.
But works once I've done that, on a local copy.

(Note that due to changes by Klei, the new buildings are found at the bottom of their respective category, instead of their location before)

Answer: "Mods using our supported ModUtil.AddBuildingToPlanScreen to add buildings are unaffected. This mod is not using that method and needs to be updated by the author. "
I have a copy button but it doesn't function.
I've got a lot of lag, more than I noticed before, but I am at that stage of the game so could be unrelated.
Any suggestions as to what to do?
Please use Stephen's Mod Updater and force an update for this mod. Steam seems to download old versions unless the update is forced.
Go to your library, right click on ONI , select 'Properties'
Then click on 'Workshop' deselect this mod from the list, then select it again right away. After that click on 'Local Files' and 'verify integrity of game files'.
Good luck!
