YES! so glad I found this! Sheetz, Heinz Field, PPG Paints (or whatever it is now), PNC Park, Edgar Snyder billboards?, etc etc. Soooo many possibilities.

Yinzerr, thank you for bringing a slice of back home to this gal who now lives in Texas. I will keep adding these slices as you make them available.

@thorn058 the incline would be sweet! That's way beyond my skill set unfortunately.

Have you found any good way to do the Incline? there are several funicular assets in the game but none that I could get to work. I am hoping someone does PPG Place or the Igloo pre-demolition.

Honker made the PPG building. You should def add that to this collection.

Thanks, I downloaded Sketchup, and was able to create some models much easier than Blender. What is the extension that you use for exporting the texture? I tried creating the UV map in 3DS Max, but it doesn't seem to be working for me. I can't get it to show up in the asset editor for importing either. Not sure if the two issues are related or not. I couldn't PM you... I think we have to be friends first. Hoping you can help get me over this hump. In the mean time, back to creating, and adding to my backlog, lol.

I'm in love that you made a Pittsburgh pack!

Thank you! I agree that American assets in general are lacking on the workshop. I personally use 100% Sketchup for both modeling and texturing, which probably isn't recommended by the top asset creators because the triangle count and textures are probably a little larger than they need to be, but it works for me and they are still acceptable sizes. I put all the textures I need on a 256x4096 image which is equivalent to the standard 1024x1024 and use the way that Sketchup repeats the texture to make it work over a long wall. Then there is a custom extension in Sketchup that exports to the needed file format and it is ready to go. There's obviously a lot more to it with the different texture maps but I think it's far easier than Blender. I tried that years ago and gave up until figuring out this method. I'm considering writing a guide as I think the way I do it would allow many more who aren't 3D experts to make assets. Feel free to PM with any questions and good luck!

Love your assets. A few months ago, I had high hopes of making a set of mostly craftsman style bungalows, which I feel are severely lacking from the workshop, inspired by local housing stock from some of the older street car communities like Mt. Lebanon and Forest Hills. I laid three of them out in AutoCAD (2D), but then found the learning curve for modeling 3D into blender to be a bit steep. My motivation to give it another try has been growing, so hopefully I will be more successful soon.

@yinzerr Alright sounds great! I'd love a "Pittsburgh Bridge Road" with gold replacing the white. I've always though the default vanilla white of them was always so boring and bland. Looking forward to everything you make next!!

@pensfan044 Thanks for the link! I am new to 3d modeling and the smaller stuff is much easier as I learn. I have a few more in the works and then I'll look at some of these and see if there is anything I can work with, but no promises! :steamhappy: I'd never even considered the yellow for bridges, great idea!

@yinzerr I found a bunch of 3D models of buildings from Pittsburgh on Google SketchUp a few months back. Posted it on Reddit hoping that someone would be able to turn them into Cities Skylines assets but no one ever did. I'll put a link to it down below in case you're interested. Thank you for these buildings that you've already done! I already added them to my game! Have you ever thought about changing the textures on the game's vanilla bridges to make them Pittsburgh Gold?
