Download links are all there, and people there are very helpful getting new players set up. The mod community has been really active since the early access days, and a lot of what was done via mods has eventually worked its way into the base game - custom parts is a good example. There’s going to be a lot that mods can do that won’t be done by the devs, like full royal rumbles, custom weapons, team members working together in battle royals, custom camera angles, and I’ll run out of room in this comment before getting through the rest of the list
