Prisoners with high moods will start to doubt their ideology making it easier to convert them without needing to move them around.

Since conversion requires low mood and recruitment high mood, this mod is a must functionality.

its quite rare since prisoners are generally a bit pissy at their raiding buddies one way or another

@Dagroth, prisoners can become lovers in vanilla rimworld. Also there's always a mood debuff for letting a prisoner escape. Please don't attribute base game additions to mods 🙏

Also, is it safe to remove this mod from an ongoing game?
Once I'm done with the genetic research, prisoners will probably all be dumped into the same cell again, patched up and let go. Or immediately turned into mechanoid brains. Either way, separate cells and bed assignments won't be needed anymore, so I'm thinking to remove it then, if it really is responsible for the behavior I described in my previous comment.

Does this mod make the game consider prisoners the citizens somehow?
If I let any escape, my colonists get the mood debuff for not being able to control my own people or so, and I also just got the two prisoners becoming lovers and wanting a shared bed.
(I suppose different mod could be responsible, but this one came to mind first)

I always thought this mod was a really necessary feature, but I didn't understand why it wasn't in vanilla. This mod has increased my mood, thank you. :praisesun:

Thanks for this (and for keeping it updated). It's always a task when a colony gets huge and you can't separate the hemogen farms from the organ donors from the recruits from the diplomatic hostages.

Found an incompatibility with... something, couldn't pinpoint the mod but removing this (mostly) fixed it. I don't use the Prison Labor mod. I had an issue with captured wild men being impossible to release. Warden would take them out of their cell and drop them off outside the base, then immediately escort them back to bed, and cause an infinite loop until something more urgent caught the warden's attention, and if the warden was interrupted by that something else after dropping them off outside, the wild man would be considered as escaping and not released.

I didn't fix whatever causes them to be considered as "escaping", but it removing this mod *did* end the infinite loop because the wardens no longer try to escort them back to their cell, so the result is good enough, ie I want prisoner out of my jail peacefully and they are out of my jail peacefully.

Note that I'm ONLY having this issue with Wild Men, normal prisoners work normally with or without this mod.

This mod seems to change the way prisonner medical beds are working, prisonners are sent back to normal bed just after tending, instead after to be fully healed. I'm not sure yet if it's better or worse.

Also, can you consider to put the Gizmo at the same place than for Colonist/Slave bed please? (and hide it when the bed is medical)

Can confirm, edited its about.xml file to 1.4, and all beds that exist (even one belonging to your pawn), you cant interact with them at all, there nothing to press...

Hoping this gets updated for 1.4 soon, started a new game and finally got some prisoners and realised I had to remove this and realised how much I use it.. Absolutely essential mod to have!

1.4 Workaround:

When a prisoner is downed you can tell a drafted pawn to carry them. Once they are picked up, you can tell the drafted pawn to put the captive in a bed of your choice which will become that prisoner's bed.

How in the name of all that is holy is this not in the base game?
How the hell can you move a prisoner, like the one's you want to recruit, to their own nice private room, without this mod?
Seriously, as much as I like Rimworld(it is a good game), the cult-like worship Tynan gets is unbelievable. With the game as old as it is, this is one of those glaring issues that should've been resolved in the base game. They've had more than enough time to do this.
Blows my mind.

Anyways, thanks for the mod. Works just fine for me.

I don't know if it will help, but you can patch only these:

CompAssignableToPawn_Bed.AssigningCandidates
CompAssignableToPawn_Bed.ShouldShowAssignmentGizmo()


to have the same result. Patching WorkGiver is not needed in this case i believe. At least it works for me with my modded game.

Not touching Building_Bed and WorkGiver_Warden_TakeToBed should help with compatibility problems some people have i hope.

Really nice mod, pairs very well with ideology where there can be little 2x2 cells for conversion, then easily transfer to the actual prison ward when converted

Is there any way to make your bed assignments stick? The problem I'm having right now is if the prisoner is in a particular bed, they will immediately get reassigned back to that bed after I assign them. So I can't actually move prisoners who are resting in bed.

I'm not sure what's going on but while I can set an owner for a prisoner bed, I can only assign my non-prisoner colonists as I would with a normal bed. What kind of info do you need to look into this?

Just the mod i was looking for <3 Beautiful prisons make it hard to convert ideoligions. now I can have 2 prisons. 1 for converting, 1 for recruiting.
