one has an effect to emulate the transition, one just lets an admin control what the skybox is without fanfare.

What is the point of instantly changing sky boxes and having slipspace? I dont see a difference between the two.

for anyone who havin issues with the pounding noises on the map do stopsound in console and it will go away all it is, is a sound glitch

@wendys worker #40020, what you do is you download the navmesh, open up local files, go to garrysmod > maps and just place it there.

They are locked there are buttons by some of them and buttons on the birdge for others, never bothered ot label since i made this for myself

Any chance we could get permission to slap this over a ground map for the pods to be more useable? and stuff all credit dor everything in and on this ship is yours. We just wanna copy the ship onto a map with actual ground below :)

Any sort of culling you can do? It's incredibly low-FPS when you're on either ends of the map and when outside aswell

To address people in order @beeth oven I know quite a bit about halo having played all the games through and read the majority of the books, this ship is entirely of my own design as I don't like recreating what's been made. The slipspace is that hyperspace model for 2 reasons, one it's what I've got, and 2 it's a lot more interesting then just a black void. @meh @tyler1 I'm aware of people's issues with the ship humm, next update it's volume will be reduced drastically. @ itsjustvirgil I appreciate the time you took to write that out.the ship is intended to be 1:1 scale I dislike exaggerated it playscale feeling ships and this ship was built primarily for my interests and needs as a server owner.

When the legacy version was originally released, I took a gander, and while it was rough, there was potential there. This version is without a doubt that potential realized. It's not perfect; nothing ever is, but, it's a fresh touch on halo mapping using a fanon, but still style compliant, UNSC ship design. Given it's size in terms of rooms, (and if that is to be taken as 1:1 scale), it would be somewhere in the 200 - 350 meter ballpark, and while that isn't the size of a UNSC combat cruiser, it is certainly in the range of a patrol cruiser, which it fits as considering it's missile armament fires from the front-facing angled launchers.

In summary, it's a real nice ship now that it's been touched up, and it is pretty compliant with the style of UNSC ships, along with filling a decent role in any hypothetical battlegroup, as a solo operating scout or as a wolfpack patrol ship.

I've been getting spam from players about what seems to be a pretty constant drum-beat esque sound that plays on this map in particular, that can only seemingly be stopped via typing 'stopsound' in console.

I'd look into remediating the issue myself, but I understand you'd prefer people do not tamper with the map in any way. As such, a friendly suggestion, if I may, would be to include a button on the Bridge or somewhere else in order to mute it, provided the assumption it is part of the map is right. Otherwise, love the map.

You don't know a lot about Halo, do you? I assume it's meant to be in the shape of a Paris or Stalwart frigate, but it really doesn't look like one. Additionally, why does your 'Slip-space' texture look like a hyperspace texture? Slip-space is featureless, a blank black void. I'm quite discouraged form downloading this map.

NodeGraph is a system that when you add nodes to a map, it puts ... nodes. in the map, when you launch the map for the first time, your system will automatically then connect all those nodes like connect-the-dot. these are invisable lines that NPCs will use to walk around with between each node or area.
This invisible set of lines connecting all the nodes is a NodeGraph.

So, SNPCs, standard NPCs, reskins, or the iNPC mod utilize NodeGraph to work and move around.

Addons like VJ Base dont use NodeGraph or NavMesh (NextBot). VJ Base itself will auto lay out your map when you first launch a map with it installed making its own temp NodeGraph system for its super scripted NPCs.
This is a reason servers dont like to use VJ Base, as it just uses more server resources when no NPC is spawned.
