Is it possible the marking of wreckages gets super laggy when you get rid of the constraint on resource and size? (to mark every single piece of wreckage)?

A couple thoughts. Be nice if this came with transporter added. Also way too many drops. I have like 100 in my inventory and they are overly worth too much in sell. Get the alternate version with detection bing and no wreckage unless you want you screen filled with boxes and arrows.

Works nicely, like the idea of saving space for other sub systems and loot grabber is great. However, I don't seem to have a button toe activate the detection and sometimes happens randomly when I jump into the ship, but no highlighting. Though i am using a blue perhaps higher tier is better.

it dosnt seem to work whit xavorion extendet becouse in there will the equipment dock removed from game and the stuff turrets subsystem splitet up on the station types testet it out it wouldn spawn sadly

There are two other forks/versions of this mod that have been tweaked and updated to work with the latest game versions:

* Universal Adventuring Companion (2.2)
* Limited Adventuring Companion 2.*

The first is like this, but updated with the new Object Scanner system. The second also has an updated Object Scanner system, but does not include the wreckage detection.

The Module becomes invisible once equipped. If you equip it by right clicking it on the inventory it disappears the next time you launch the game.

would it be possible to get a version without the +Radar and +Deep Scan options?

@theslay66 if your ship doesn't fit through gates and portals and wormholes. all you need to do is make a pin stick out the front. you only need 1 block of your ship to pass through the thing and it will transport your entire ship

When docking even if I'm at 0.00km (docked) I can't for example trade goods or things that require me to be docked if this is installed.

@Lt. Dan's Legs Works just fine, only thing is the Drone pickup doesn't function far as I can tell. Everything else is 100%, all functions working, drops as expected.

Essential mod. Renders some vanilla modules obsolete, but oh well you need so many modules for everything these days, the trimming down is quite needed.

Known bugs :
- The transporter part for fighters doesn't work. You have to use the corresponding module, along with the mandatory transporter.
- Sometimes the loot gathering will stop randomely. It's quite rare, and you just need to move away a bit for it to resume. Only happened on my biggest ship so far (one big enough to not fit through portals and wormholes).

This may have been answered already but is the r-miner/salvager fighter part of the transporter not working for this? if so do i now need a companion and a transporter? seems kind of counter productive if that is the case, lmk id love to be wrong

I would prefer if this was purchasable at a much higher amount like buying building knowledge from smugglers, or requiring crafting it using the same rarity of base modules it is comprised of would be exactly 5 modules if you include the wreckage detector requirement. Of course I have no idea what that would take.

Might be interesting to make a slotted board “builder” version of this.
You would drop in your other subsystems to this, to fill it’s checkboxes.
Similar as you do filling the ships slots themselves.
So as you gather the dropped or purchased sub-component chips you upgrade this chip-board.
That would make this a sort of AI motherboard in one of the ship slots.
(conceptually Kinda like having a graphics card in your desktop computer, only these days if you could upgrade the G-card’s chips and ram and cooling separate from the motherboard...?)

This mod and the commercial refinery mod delete themselves when i restart my saves. Any ideas what could be causing it? Its not like I'm starting my games up without the mods on. Unless its because im using Geforce Now.

@Zeinath It definitely does appear that at least the drone pickup portion is missing though the docking distance is working for me. I poked around in the mod files a bit and through many trials and much error I got it to work. It's not really something I can give instructions for (I've never done lua before, only past modding experience is xml) as I likely messed something up. Hopefully this can get updated though - I tried a uninstall/reinstall of the mod, and installed the Limited version just to make sure and it was still missing on both.

@Myrianne In 2.0.2 this appears to be working in every aspect, with the exception of emulating transport software. Just added a transport block to my ship, I no longer get the warning about needing the block of software for the increase docking distance, but I still need to get crazy close, and the warning that my fighters can't pick anything up it still on screen.

Favorite part is the crazy increase to magnet range, btw! Love it! Vanilla magnet is SO lame in comparison...

sixty, I see no problem with the range of valuable detection, its quite balanced and if you get a orange/red tier upgrade its sector wide detection. As for the hyperspace boost thats just overkill in this already op upgrade lol

Need more Titanium level compound upgrades, this 2.0 is severely limiting in terms of radar and valuable detection. it would help also a hyperspace boost tnx.

Hey guys. Sorry I didn't see your comments from last month. Steam stopped sending me message updates for some reason.

I pushed a 2.0 version. Quick check to see if it worked and it seems to, but I might push a few more updates soon as I play 2.0 if I notice anything weird. If YOU notice anything weird, please let me know!

And also if anyone is desperate for a 1.0 version I can post one as a separate legacy mod.

I subscribed, but havent found this. Playing on a hosted server with my friend and I. Is the drop rate quite low? Or do we have to do more than subscribe and play?

I have every grade of this module, including a legendary - none of them highlight claimable asteroids, beacons, or caches. Is that a known thing, or do I need to redownload things? It seems rather pointless to have to install an object detector when this one is supposed to do that already.

Could you add more types of specialist multi-function upgrades like ones that focus on engineering, combat and resource collection? e.g. Engineering Upgrade= energyboost, energystorageboost, rechargeboost? There is a danger of overlapping functions but i know you take risks. This mod really helps in optimizing the limited upgrade slots of early and even late game plays, thanks.
