well to make them a techupgrade i need to write a script, and then it isnt really compatible with other mods that edit theyr stats and co.

besides that, its long ago since i played this game. maybe i will return sometimes... but not now.. :)

Idea, have the floating navel units to also be classified as aircraft for things like Air Commander

yep, because they dont spawn in the water anymore. now the other buildings for landunits count for them. isnt really a bug.. ;)

Good mod. By the way, I found a bug. Naval training facility(colony structure) doesn't work when this mod is on.

only the whales from the amazon - because they implanted antigravity cells to them.. ;) and yes, the ai use them too.

That makes sense. Again, I'm crazy about this idea lol, and I am absolutely going to try it. I wonder, does the ai know to use these? And will naval marauders (lol and turtles and octowhales) also drift onto land from the sea and terrorize my cities?

You still need a water sector buut they will spawn in your city. and yes i think the same way, they are a little to powerfull for only a little upkeep cost.. ;) i limit it by myself to not build to many of them.. ;)

And no, this mod overrides the existing naval - units. Thats all what i have done so far....

i put it online to see how many others want this and - when it gets popular enough, i will made a better balanced one with better grafics and fx & co.

Oooh... Can you post details of what you changed? Do they require water-connected colonies still or can any landlubber city built a harbor to churn out hovercraft of death?

Don't get me wrong this is SUPER cool, I love the Assembly battleships and Kir'Ko naval monsters in particular and I always lament how underused the naval assets are in the games I play but I feel like even a lil higher upkeep may not be enough to balance the power of floating battleships, tbh. I'm just wondering to what degree you tweaked it.

Do the more cost-effective naval-only variants still exist?
