it works some what for me only issue im haveing is i cant change the range/color of the phasers like the settings sugjest ther all locked in at 1km range on orange T^T

It sad, but it is what it is. In sohort WC mod is toxic, and its not a joke. I subscribed nice turret mod (working), but its not supported by WC, so I got red lleters info at 1/3 of my screen that all unsuported parts will be deleted and that included that turret mod files. So, its toxic.

As far as I know Quarianna's ST mod works and has had fairly recent updates. Good thing with thiers also is it has more of the ST stuff and even drones, if anyone is interested.

Sucks that this is being dropped, I really liked this mod. It was the only ST weapons mod that worked.

I am sad that this won't continue to be updated. But I do absolutely understand. At one point it felt like WC was being updated several times a day and I had to relearn how to use it every 5 or 6 updates. I can't imagine trying to keep weapons functioning at the coding level.

Keen at least doesn't slam authors for not constantly update to the latest build, and retest every single line every update - with No warning of updates, or contents. SE announces Updates even during the early days with the Weekly updates, WC does not announce or have set days -- nor any decent way to know, you're expected to retest every single file instead.
So worse.

seems like frameworks has the same issues than keen at the beginning. constant changes makes everything obsolete.

Eventually it'll shatter due to the script.
WC configs do not have a good track record of retaining function - so no bets on when it'll die.
But glad it at least still fires

@kreeg Great, thank you! I've had more than one build broken from a removed mod that still worked - so I thought I'd check. I'm just in a single player world...so maybe I just haven't noticed something broken, but so far everything still appears to be working!

I don't find it practical to take down a mod that has some function, given that will damage player saves.
So yeah this is still staying up.

@kreeg I love this mod and currently have disruptors and/or cutters on almost every ship. I understand you won't be updating it any longer and while that makes me sad, I can respect your decision. My question is: will the mod continue to be listed? I would like to continue using them until they break beyond repair.

Everything still works for me i dont know how i did it but HEH ! Good for it.
Will you try to make the sort pf mod without the weapon core, using just the "vanilla" setting ?

Just wanted to put here to save anyone else the same problem, while it is sad the mod is no longer being worked on, I would advice you all to remove it from every save it is in, if you don't said saves will not open no matter what you do until you remove it, I just spent the last few hours thinking I lost a save as it wasn't opening until I removed the mod from it then it worked, also I hope this helps anyone who still has it on a save that they can't access it is likely the mod causing it and this should hopefully give you a quick fix without searching for solutions or opening a ticket like I did before double checking the log, the mod was a fine one but I'm sure you'll agree and rather have saves and ships over a mod that will likely have an alternative, it was a good run.

the borg cutting beam attacked my test ship right away but i can't figure out a way to controll or fire the dominion weapons or the phaser

Dang, I'm also getting that issue of only being able to use the 1km orange beams. It lets me select others if I have a group of them, but the beam is still just the 1km and has the max ai range of 1km. Any ideas what might be causing this bug?

Same Problem: I've used these before, love them, but now I can't get the federation phasers set to any thing but 1km orange beams, and the fed pulsers default to red 1km. Everything is grouped. It says it changes it in the toolbar, but the settings on k menu still say orange 1km no matter what, and if I change it directly it flips itself back to orange 1km. I checked ownership, all good, phasers are just determined to stay orange 1km.

ALso is it on purpose for WeaponCore mods to ignore shooting down metors? As I noticed that for several of us that stream it we like to have the metor showers on, but the WeaponCore weapons seem to have defending against incomming metor showers disabled or forgotten about.

I noted the federation phaser has the opition for a larger range, but doesn't do it... wondering if this is on purpose, or a bug.

Was there an update to the game? Last night, this mod was working fine. I logged on this morning and now every time a ship comes within range, my game crashes and the phasers don't work. At all.

I've also found an issue. So another mod author Qarannia has made Star Trek encounters for the modular encounters system mod. The shields (Defence Shields V2.0) on the Klingon ships were GAINING health as the Borg beams beat on them. Qarannia made the Star Trek mod pack and encounters, so I used his phasers and it started to damage the shields. There is a bad bug here and I really dont want to kaibosh this mod from my list due to ease of use, style, the BORG BEAMS and the sound. Kreeg, if theres any info I can get to you to help figure this out let me know and I'll do what I can.

@Roberestarkk yeah I get the same thing on all types of Phazers from the arays to the banks to the old NX-Class cannons they basiclly work as F of beams right now

I'm noticing that any ship I attack with any beam (tried Borg and Romulan so far because green) gets pushed backwards by it... Which is weird and not something I'd expect to have happen.
This happens regardless of whether the grid has a shield or not.
Any ideas why this might be, or how to fix it?

Ok, I figured it out. Mod conflict with "Star Trek - ultimate Weapons D1"
1. Saved copy (Save As) original world to a world that can be modified for testing.
2. Removed "Star Trek - ultimate Weapons D1" mod.
3. Had to delete .sbsB5 (NOT .sbs) file from world save folder. SBSB5 is a cache file; you will get a one-time warning about "format", just click Ok.
4. Delete appworkshop_244850.acf (see WeaponCore troubleshooting steps.)
These steps were repeated (checking if the Federation Phaser was or was not a ConveyorSorter) on copies of the original world and found to solve the issue.

Hi, Kreeg. I finally came back to t-shooting this... To summarize, the phasers are not usable, they don't have the options that a weapon would have in the G-menu and in the Control Panel, as being Conveyor-sorters. In the "CubeBlocks_Fed_Weapons.sbc", the definition starts being set to MyObjectBuilder_ConveyorSorterDefinition", then TypeId is set to ConveyorSorter. This is also true for the SBC files for the Borg, Dominion, Klingon and Romulan weapons. Please take a look. Thanks!

Mod Order isn't determined by name, and renaming the folders isn't exactly going to make it worth smoother, It risks it shattering.

Fed Phaser has the properties of a connector. I renamed the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\244850\2063823796" folder so that the mod would re-download and put the mod at the top of the list but under WeaponCore1.7(12). Same problem, only connector properties. I love this mod! Please help/fix.

Hmm odd Bug, I'll have to look into that range issue.

To solve reupload; Servers can run unlisted mods, without it causing an issue to users in downloading, said unlisted just means it doesn't appear on workshop, without a direct link.

Private, is what causes the server to be unable to download it.
Unlisted is a setting next to private'

Hey Kreeg sorry about the reupload no theft was intended and file has been deleted. I just spent a literal week after work poking at this mod and I finally got into the correct file to edit the range and DPS to bring them more in line with vanilla weapons. And then found out I needed to reupload for my server to use them. Mod editing noob here. :)
I tried setting the file to private or friends but it seems my server wouldn't download the mod unless it was set to public.
I know you say they are defaulted to 1000 but they have always been set to max for myself and friends on startup until we move the slider after construction and if you use the NPC weapon upgrade mod the NPC's get 7K death rays that nuke everything before you can even see them.
If I could somehow get the server to nerf down range and DPS on all weapons without having to edit the files directly I would do so but so far I don't see any place to implement this on the server.

@kreeg I know it is not "correct", but I really need purple for the Borg cutters and the Romulan disruptors. I would be more than happy to exchange purple beams for your PP info (ask Wortho....also...."phrasing").Anything from Barney purple to lavender is fine.

Added a federation phaser to my ship, it could then not take off. Turns out it weighs 15 tones lol

They also have Colour Settings.
Default is 1km for these weapons, as the test bed for the Option.```
How. They default to 1km.

Ah don't worry, sorted it, turns out I was using a ship to test them that had nothing for the Phasers to lock onto, well that is embarrassing.

Yep had the power, I'm not getting the option to manually fire them (Phaser Arrays), and the enemy vessel is well with in range just off the port bow, not sure whats stopping it from playing ball.
