That said, I noticed one thing that seems to get them 'stuck'.
If I tell the caravan to take 20 meals and I only have 21 meals.
If two non-caravan pawns quickly take/eat 3 meals before my caravan can collect 20 meals... I think that might cause a hang up.
This can also cause an issue if I tell the caravan to take a specific weapon or armor and a non-caravan pawn/robot decides to move that item to a different storage/zone location while the caravan is being loaded.
Since the item is temporarily in a non-caravan pawn's inventory... the caravan may not be able to see it and so it gets 'stuck' waiting.
Hopefully this helps those who, like myself, still use this mod and are looking for a work-around for the 'stuck' loading.
The way I 'fix' it is by drag selecting all of the caravan pawns on the spot and then "Draft' and 'Undraft'.
When I do that, some of the pawns will eat something at the table/chairs near the caravan spot and maybe they drop something from their inventory and then the caravan leaves the map.
Since many of us are using a LOT of other mods, any one of them could be causing this 'conflict'.
I'm curious if you have the ability to reset all of the caravan pawns queued jobs after all caravan loading finishes.
They might be standing 'stuck' because they have unfinished jobs (such as eating or unloading) before the form caravan order was given.
I'm not a coder/modder... just trying to offer some perspective based on my experiences.
also have the problem peopel just standing around.
they stop doing anything, just clumb at the caravan point with the animals beeing stuck "leading animal xy to exit"

This may be an issue with mods that expand inventory size/weight of pawns. If so, Mlie probably can not fix it, so I am posting this as a possible work-around.
Sometimes a pawn is set to load the caravan with a unique item, but the loading pawn goes to sleep, is drafted or starts a new job with the unique/queued item in its inventory causing the caravan to wait for the item to be loaded.
When I see a pawn asleep or doing a non-loading job with a load-queued unique item in it's inventory, I force it to drop the item and then 'Draft' and 'Undraft' a caravan pawn who usually runs over to the item and loads it on the caravan and the caravan leaves.
If that does not work, try clicking each caravan pawn and 'Draft' then 'Undraft' it. That sometimes clears their queue and they head out.
TLDR update for caravan formation fixing mod[s] is still desirable as 1.3 didn't fix diddly with formation processes.
(PS, This request is still within the understanding that neither an OG mod author nor a port updater is under any obligation to maintain their mods - any work up to and optionally past this point in time is appreciated greatly but not necessarily expected)
