Yep turns out I didn't checked the wiki thoroughly enough, the melee dodge debuff came directly from the movement, anyway thanks for the reply!

Depends on where the dodge chance nerf comes from. I can't find it specifically in the xml. If it's based on the movement offset then yes. Otherwise probably not.

Plans yes, not sure when I will get a chance to actually do it. It probably just needs the version incremented unless they changed something about how they use the xml files.

I don't have anything for field hand or drill arm as they didn't go through the same sort of nerf the power claw did that I noticed at least. I think they were always presented as a trade off rather than as a pure upgrade.

If this were a direct patch of that mod, that would be the case. However, when two mods both try to modify the same thing in conflicting ways it can help to put the least extensive one first. It just depends on what they are trying to change and how. This is a tiny mod that changes exactly two things related to the power claw. If reversing the relative load order doesn't fix the problem the mods are likely incompatible and as I said. I don't know how to fix that.

@Rinem This mod does only some xml patching to remove the speed debuff section and change the damage value. I do not know how to make it more compatible with the mod you linked. You can try putting mine higher in the load order so that mine makes changes before that one does, and if that breaks still or has no effect, then they are probably incompatible and I do not know enough about C# modding to even attempt a fix for that.

I didn't change any of the mechanics for how the power claw works as far as weapons go. When a pawn does melee attacks they somewhat randomly choose which hand to attack with, (or to bite or headbutt) so if you only have one, about half the time they'll attack with the hand that doesn't have the power claw. And so if you have a weapon equipped your pawn will usually use that instead of an unarmed attack, while unarmed is still possible it gets a modifier to be less frequently chosen when a weapon is equipped. So yes, you will see a much lower damage output from a character with power claws holding a lower power melee weapon. And you'll get less damage from one than with two, but more than you'd get with zero. A good use of power claws (minus the movement penalty which this mod eliminates) is to put them on ranged attackers who may get into melee as they will often use the power claw instead of pistol whipping.

maybe a stupid question, but ill ask it anyway. does this still work like the old power claw where it's best to have it on both hands? also, will having a weaker melee weapon equipped nerf the damage of the installed claw/s?
