I addressed this some time ago but just to reiterate, this is a traditional style English Field Hockey stick, that's the reason for the odd shape. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_hockey_stick

I believe it's not the usual field hockey stick used nowadays and it certainly isn't an Ice Hockey stick. :P

It is also based on the stick Liz carries for a while in the movie Shaun of the Dead.

I have to agree with ShootingStarAJM here. It looks like a cane, not a hockey stick. The "blade" of the stick you designed looks like a crook. The rest of the model looks great, but the business end is all wrong. I say take the cane idea and also run with it, but the blade on this model needs fixing.
