No, only pistons.
There is one piston that moves the hook horizontal. It is conected to blocks that slides on a rail.
And there is 5 pistons that moves the hook vertical.
The hard part was to find a way so the hook system would not glich out. Pistons are not very. stable in this game. ^^

How does the hook system work?

No problem to lift 2 ridiculous heavy blocks. But if you lift heavier than that you may need to lift with the hook near the center of the crane. If you know what i mean? There is no automatic counterweight so you also may need to put som counterweight manualy if you lift something realy heavy. @yousuf181

I tried to lift something heavy, but the tower crane fell over and I saw the bearing that turned it? (It was welded to the ground)
