cant exchange at an atm, "your colony doesn't have enough silver to solve this payment." I've tried different storages no storages am I doing something wrong? on 1.6

Would it be possible to make gold a currency too to keep it's trade value stable? IDK if making it both a currency and a resource would clash but buying and selling gold for 10 silver seems pretty tame as far as balance goes and I love the idea of buying traders gold to keep my stockpile smaller without pay a tax both ways.

@7588 Its not a specific line, it replaces the trade-gui with its own Dialog_PayByBankNotes class that just treats bank-notes as any currency, similar to reputation and silver.

@7588 They are a currency, each worth 1000 silver. Like a bill is worth a specific amount of coins.

(hi you might be able to get more bank notes in another method, by using 2 mods which affect traders in a roundabout way, eg, one that lets you always get more trade ships per day, and another one which i forgot, but it lets you contact any faction via comms console and specifically 'ask' for them to bring lots of a particular item....the only catch is that it might take them 1-3 days to arrive, and if you dont have enough money at that time to buy it all, they might attack you, but so far so good when i used it) :o)

Further details: (Silver(Ag), Note(N), Gold(Au)) AG->N is 1.5% Fee at ATM, N->Ag is 3.5% Fee at ATM. Ag is $125/kg, Au is $1250/kg, and N is $10,000/kg

When paying maintenance fees, there is a bug where the ATM's banknotes turn minus even though there is enough silver deposited. To get it back to normal, I had to exchange silver for banknotes and deposit it into an ATM. And there is no error log at all. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same bug.

So I just bought out all of the ATM's Note's, and I didn't really think much of it before I tried to get more and realize the bank doesn't have any more. Is bankruptcy a feature, or is this something that'll just take a while to bounce back?

An upgrade would be to include counterparty risk (bank fail, interest rate changes, inflation) to balance the ease of storage aspect. Could be a lot of tongue in cheek fun with different banks: "Rimi", "JP Mech", "Goldman Stars", "Blacksteel".

@Caar, I can see how that mod would cause the issue. However, at least one person I've talked with has the bug and does not use Vanilla Trading Expanded.

@D'Car, it is because of the Vanilla Trading Expanded mod. It makes bank notes go up and down in price just like everything else that mod affects. Since I and many others like those features of that mod, I stopped using this one until there is a patch or way to exclude individual items from VTE.

I'm not seeing this bug, but some others I've talked with are ... which makes them abandon the use of RimBank. I can only assume it's some kind of mod incompatibility.

Banknotes are not valuated at $1,000. They seem to be subject to markup/-down when they shouldn't be.

You may want to check out Prepare For Combat because it gives players control over how raids are calculated. And there is a setting to adjust colony wealth in the calculation - from as high as 200% to as low as 0% (default 100%).

Also, Combat Readiness Check (Continued) is another mod that works similarly, giving control over how raids are calculated. Though, I haven't tried it, so I'm not sure if it can diminish or remove how wealth affects raid strength.

Does money stored in the bank not count towards your wealth? Looking for a way to lower my wealth without lowering my wealth or changing the wealth system completely. I hate the whole wealth system (how the fuck do raiders know what's in my shoddy wooden shack, game basically punishes me for looting and getting lucky)
