I'm guessing everyone subscribing to this mod will have a similar list of abilities to add. Surely there's a simple example of everything most people will want to add so that we can simply copy and paste that and then tweak as necessary; rather than go through 60+ comments looking for things to add? Better yet, a mod config menu in-game would be best, but I have no idea how much work that would involve. I'm grateful for the mod and don't want to be making demands or anything.

I guess it should look as followed, but I was not able to test it yet:

Thanks for the mod! Please explain it to a newb what should I change in .ini to make it work in LWotC?
I change it like this according to the description:
....
+OverwatchAbilities=Overwatch ; .....
+SnapShotOverwatch
+OverwatchAbilities=PistolOverwatch
....
I suspect I did something wrong. Please explain.

Looks like the right format for this mod's .ini if it's not working maybe the ability name is wrong. Best place I've found to find those is a mod's localisation files.

How do you add abilities to this? I'm trying to add Focus Fire from the officer list but Ever Vigilant doesn't activate still.

Currently set as: +EverVigilantIgnore=FocusFire

Off. LWOTC discord has a phone verification so I can't ask them. I'm currently testing this to see if I can get it to work in a LWOTC + RPGO build. I'll holla if it works.

@MergingApollo Probably the ability name has changed. I don't use LWOTC, so I don't know what the new name might be. You'll have better luck looking for yourself in the mod files or asking in their discord.

This mod does not appear to currently be working in LWOTC, even with the added +OverwatchAbilities=SnapShotOverwatch in the XcomGame ini. Is there something else that needs to be done, some other mod folder that should be looked into?

@Optimum If you've found the ability in the localization, you should've noticed that above the name you see in-game there should be a line like this: "[nameoftheability X2AbilityTemplate]"
The name you need to input in the list is the one in place of "nameoftheability". This is true for almost all the abilities in the game.

Hello! I'm trying to have Ever Vigilant work with Long Watch (am using LWOTC), and am unsure of the naming conventions I should be using to add it to the list. I've found the ability in the localization folder but it's only stumped me. Any insight would be appreciated--thanks!

@Riekopo It means that the original mod was only for vanilla XCOM 2, while this one has been updated and fixed to work on WOTC.

мод с LWOTC вызывает вылетание на рабочий стол при загрузке! (Не всех миссий, именно тех, вероятно, где и он должен работать. Например освободить заложников и тд.)
Нигде про это не писали, и вы не представляете, сколько раз я переустанавливал LWOTC и XCOM.

Best bet for finding an ability name is looking in a mod's localisation file. For "Free Load Anytime" I've added
+EverVigilantIgnore=FreeReload

@aceboy_21 What's to explain? If you're using LWOTC, and want to make SnapShot Overwatch work with this mod, you must add the "SnapShotOverwatch" ability below "Overwatch" and above "PistolOverwatch" in this mod's config file.

This mod works great in LWotC!

Id like to add a couple abilities to the list: Fortify and 'mark crate' (from the resource extraction missions). Anyone know how to do that, or how to find the ability names?

Update: I tracked down the first version of this mod on Skymods and it did work so something has changed with this mod between this version and no to break it for me at least

Hey I just completed a play through where Ever vigilant was completely broken and wouldn't trigger under any circumstances.
To trouble shoot I just started a new game with 0 mods, got through gate crasher and used console commands to rank up a specialist to ever vigilant and tested to see if it worked.
It did so I reloaded back to the geo-scape with Reliable Ever Vigilant installed and it immediately broke again. Any idea whats causing this? It was working fine for me back in June (I think)

Have reactivated this mod after you reverted to older version on 20 July, and so far no issues or crashes. So it seems that something in your update may have been causing the problem.

By the way Veehementia, I have a Save file for a mission that crashes upon load, if that would help.........not sure how to get it to you though.

I can confirm same crash as Glorfinder and cube-m, prior to when you reverted the mod back to older version on 20 July.

It would crash at mission load into the tactical battlescape.

Since it referenced problems related to Ever Vigilant, I disabled this mod, and the crashes disappeared and mission started and ran normally.

(I haven't tried re-enabling the mod since you reverted back to older version yet; I'll reactivate and use it again now.)

I had the same crash issue and couldn't figure out were it came from. Glad somebody did it for me ! However now the ability doesn't trigger at all (my soldiers don't enter overwatch at all after moving). I am using LWOTC.

@Veehementia It happens at mission start, it loads something then sound and video blocking and crashes to desktop. I tried the update prior to reply, it works fine now, I start a new mission like always with any problem. The changelog description seems to fit my situation, I have actually two or three soldier with Ever Vigilant... Thank you for the reply and the fix :D
