@Taraghlan: Hi, your engine will not work underwater. It only works when on the surface because you need air/oxygen for it to run. You want to secure your engine prior to diving using the engine breaker. Once submerged you use battery/electric power to transit underwater. Take note of battery power because it will drain. Recharge by surfacing and starting engine again. Do not drain down too much or your engine will not start. Good luck.

i dont know how to sink without my engine die

I updated the Sub. It now has UP/DOWN thrusters. Also, max crush depth changed to 300 psi and max speed increased to 30 kts. This should help alleviate the frustration with docking to the Phorcys. Let me know if you run into issues.
ShopSnipe  [author] 5 Aug, 2022 @ 6:14pm
Ok, hopefully the overheat is not a common issue though. Thanks!
Stuntchicken21 5 Aug, 2022 @ 10:52am
nvm the engine was just overheating lol
Stuntchicken21 5 Aug, 2022 @ 10:41am
yes the snorkel is down but ill keep trying and tell you when it works and keep up the good work your builds are really good :)
ShopSnipe  [author] 4 Aug, 2022 @ 6:13pm
@Stuntchicken21: Do you have the snorkel down before you try to connect? I admit, this sub is a pain to connect up because it has no vertical thrusters. It's very small and has limited area for surface controls like my other subs. Let me know.
Stuntchicken21 4 Aug, 2022 @ 1:29am
The sub keeps catching on fire when docked with phorcys can you help me out please?
ShopSnipe  [author] 16 Mar, 2022 @ 6:54pm
@ The Busted Nut: Thank you, I really want to make another one, not sure it will ever happen though.
Not Allergic To Nuts 12 Mar, 2022 @ 5:22pm
Please make another submarine! Something small like the Ceto but nuclear powered would be dope!
ACG_Firefly 14 Dec, 2020 @ 4:23pm
If that's all there is then that's fine mate.

I assumed with it being the update that technically brought the game out of alpha, that it would've changed drastically. I think maybe electrical connection and fuel lines might've changed, but I'm not sure.

Cheers for the reply

@ Mike S: 1.0 added personal equipment for the player and some other things. It changed the buzzer sounds all back to their starting points but other than that I don't believe there where any changes to the general dynamics of the submarine. I'm working on updating one of the other subs right now. I'll try and get to this next.
ACG_Firefly 14 Dec, 2020 @ 1:30pm
Hi mate.

I understand one of the subs in this collection of 4 is already on v1.0 (I already have it installed).
Just wondering, since this is the MINI sub of the collection, what is there to change on it to make it v1.0 compatible?

I was thinking of just adding the rope anchors etc. to give it those 1.0 features, but is there something to do with the mechanics that I might need to change.

I have never built a ship on Stormworks before so my knowledge is limited, but since this thing is literally tiny I imagine it can't be too complicated. Do you know what things I'll need to look at to update it?

I'm happy to do this myself since you said you were busy. Just need a bit of an idea where to start :P

@batsignal07: Thank you. Yes, I would like to build more, I really just have not had the time (life). Maybe in the future.
zanimus 12 Sep, 2020 @ 7:48pm
add more subs to the collection pls these things are epic
ShopSnipe  [author] 4 Aug, 2020 @ 5:44am
@KingTiger101: Yeah, the auto level feature works best at holding your current depth. It tends to over pitch your request depth if you use it to dive or surface only. I think pitching down is hard because you have to give small inputs as you move forward and it is stern heavy when adding ballast. I tried to compensate for this by creating voids in the ballast tanks. This sub is not as well polished just because it is so small and there was very limited working surface area. I haven't had much time on the workshop but yes, a very functional rescue submarine is overdue for sure. Give me some time and I will try to improve this sub so it is easier to use.
Elonovich Muskowinsky 3 Aug, 2020 @ 4:24pm
Also I have an idea, perhaps makes a rescue sub? For example, the mission to rescue a submariner would be alot cooler if you could dock with the sub. Very few, if any, of the subs on the workshop have a narrow enough dock to it.
Elonovich Muskowinsky 3 Aug, 2020 @ 3:41pm
Another great sub. I am having issues using depth hold and it seems to refuse to pitch down for some reason.
ShopSnipe  [author] 22 May, 2020 @ 2:51pm
@I am a friking noob: Could you please elaborate?
Final 22 May, 2020 @ 12:02pm
the bat doesent charge
ShopSnipe  [author] 13 May, 2020 @ 11:10am
@Pretender6: I never considered that, I might give that a go if I ever get the extra time, or you could have at it.
Pretender6 11 May, 2020 @ 10:30am
You should make a uncrewed version of this one, perhaps setup a remote viewing setup inside the Science lab
Pretender6 27 Apr, 2020 @ 3:47pm
No, not having issues connecting Phorcys and Scylla, just literally informing KingTiger101 of the reason why it could not connect, Ceto->Scylla, as i had Stormworks Editor open at the time.

Sorry, but i have the misfortune of miscommunication about 60% of the time, because i tend to want to include/account facts. Have the same/worst problem IRL verbally.
ShopSnipe  [author] 27 Apr, 2020 @ 3:20pm
@Pretender6: Are you having issues connecting to the PHORCYS? You mentioned the camera light in the way, the SCYLLA was specifically designed to connect with that sub so there should not be any issues.

I listen to feedback, the SCYLLA was specifically created because of a comment posted. So all suggestions are taken into consideration and welcomed.
Pretender6 27 Apr, 2020 @ 1:26pm
@1ShopSnipe, i think i might explain my previous statements of change stuff etc.

It is kinda a selfish request from me to you to incorporate my changes into your future (re-) designs, for every time you would update/create something i spent time implementing said changes again etc.
but were you incorporate them, only 1 time change would be required, albeit from you.

Again its a selfish request, and i dont expect you to grant it.
Just wanted to put what i was thinking into words, just in order to clear my head from it.
Pretender6 27 Apr, 2020 @ 12:56pm
@logvg @1ShopSnipe, you might consider treating it as a airplane, taking longer approach, gradually decreasing depth? surfacing?
Pretender6 27 Apr, 2020 @ 12:54pm
@KingTiger101, i look at it, it conflicts/collides with the bottom camera&light, while with the PHORCYS, when Scylla's snorkels are down (default) it just missed it, when docking in-person

In Editor there some direct conlfict/collision/red blocks when copy/paste a Scylla under the Ceto

If you really want to connect the Scylla with the Ceto atm , i got a ugly Workshop item for you.

Magnets are on by default, but doors themselves are not, either activating in editor, or in person.

ShopSnipe  [author] 27 Apr, 2020 @ 12:47pm
@KingTiger101: Ceros? This should connect to any mag door as long as there is nothing in the way. It will not connect to the Ceto (has a recessed dive hatch), but it will connect to the Phorcys.

I'll take a look at automatic ballast controls. Thanks for the comments!

ShopSnipe  [author] 27 Apr, 2020 @ 12:37pm
@logvg: vertical thrust gets a bit tricky with limited surface area. I may look at that down the road.
Elonovich Muskowinsky 27 Apr, 2020 @ 9:07am
You should look into using PIDs to automatically find the neutral buoyancy, it would make a great addition to all of your already amazing subs.
Elonovich Muskowinsky 27 Apr, 2020 @ 8:55am
Also, if there any way to connect this to the Ceros? I havn't really looked into the dimensions, but I imagine it would be possible to connect via the dive locker.
Elonovich Muskowinsky 27 Apr, 2020 @ 8:54am
Always excited to see your subs!
logvg 26 Apr, 2020 @ 2:21pm
make vertical thrusters
