@WeeWoo they're not available for the immediate draft, that doesn't make them permanently unavailable, you can still recruit them later down the road.
WeeWoo316 10 Sep, 2020 @ 5:02pm
What about making the ones you didn't select available at a later point in time instead of never again? I doubt anyone willing to fight like that would suddenly give up the fight & disappear if XCOM didn't pick them.
kazuya0010 31 May, 2020 @ 11:02am
Couldn't you make it possible to select two agents at once on the first round instead of selecting one agent per round?
kazuya0010 31 May, 2020 @ 10:52am
It looks like a good mod to have but couldn't you make it possible to re-select the agents that were discarded in the first round. To pick them again in the second round.

@NotSoLoneWolf great mod, keep up the good work!

@Patuljak its a common bug, i've had that crash 3 times during one encounter in a unmodded playthrough, had around 10 crashes where 8 where the reinfocment bug during my first complete unmodded run (finished on day 99)
AngelRane 30 Apr, 2020 @ 6:58pm
Would it be possible to make the opposite of this - that you can pick every agent on every recruitment same way as at the campaign start?
Patuljak 29 Apr, 2020 @ 7:11am
@wen d(a)y's lonely

Allright, gotcha. Thanks. I'll leave the comments up in case someone will be thinking along the same lines.
sigma, the orble guy 29 Apr, 2020 @ 6:18am
@Patuljak played and finished the entire game with no mods installed whatsoever, let me tell you i crashed at least 5 crashes in a 2-3 hour span, 90% of them during reinforcements
Patuljak 29 Apr, 2020 @ 5:44am
@Kienan I see, thanks for the clarification. I played a full game of vanilla before subscribing to any mods and the reinforcement bug never happened, that's why I thought it was related and I'm still not 100% sure it is not related to a mod since it is quite a big coincidence.
Kienan 28 Apr, 2020 @ 7:26pm
@Patuljak, I don't think that's accurate. Many, many people report getting the reinforcements crash, it's unrelated to this mod. Disabling the mod and it working was likely merely a coincidence.

I don't use this mod (probably will next playthrough), and had the exact same issues you describe. It's crashed on reinforcements three or four times for me, and sometimes on reload the reinforcements never show up. It's unrelated to this mod.
Patuljak 28 Apr, 2020 @ 7:08pm
Hi,

I get a crash sometimes when it is enabled on missions where reinforcements are coming. At the moment before they enter, the game crashes. If I reload last save with the mod enabled it gets stuck again (one time it worked but it showed that reinforcements would come every turn, but they did not, strangely), while if I disable and load it works. Not a big deal as you only need the mod at the start of the game, but thought I'd report it.

I am using a number of other mods alongside it.

Other than that great mod, thanks.

@NotSoLoneWolf

No other mods. I was returning back to base from a mission.

@Presto Majesto

I'm sorry to hear that, can you provide me with any information about the crash? Any other mods installed, what action did you take directly prior to the crash, etc. Next time please take care to never enable Hardcore or Ironman mode when using mods, just in case.
Alien Waifu $cammer 27 Apr, 2020 @ 7:55pm
The idea here is cool, but it hard crashed my game. RIP my hardcore save.

@5ofClubs @Trybius @VassiliBedov

These are all awesome ideas, not all of them are equally doable though. UI modding is extremely difficult and this mod was only made possible because the UI screen for it already existed in a different part of the game. Implementing a "Pass" option or a "Random" option would be the most difficult. I'll add in the other ideas at some point this week when I have time.
5ofClubs 27 Apr, 2020 @ 1:35pm
This is excellent. It might be fun to add different drafting "modes" to choose from if that's possible, such as:

Nucleus -- Your first agent is selected randomly. Then, you draft three more.
River -- You draft three agents. Your final agent is selected randomly.
Heads or Tails -- Each draft round only offers you 2 agents to choose from instead of 3.
Devil You Know -- Choose between 2 agents, or a 3rd slot which will randomly select an agent from your pool and apply a small buff to them (+2 HP, +5 aim, etc.).
soul.storm.fire 27 Apr, 2020 @ 12:33pm
Where is the difference to the default drafting that you get when you disable tutorial?
Trybius 27 Apr, 2020 @ 6:07am
Cool mod, but one suggestion would be a single "pass" option. Then you get another run with a random selection of all the left over agents.

I.e
group 1 -> you select Axiom, but it also has Blueblood in it who you really want
group 2 -> pick Godmother
group 3 -> not really fond of anyone, and still really wanting blueblood *pass*
group 4 -> pick terminal

Now you get group 5, which is randomly selected from all the previous non-selected players, including blueblood. It's a risk / reward estimate, because you only have a 1/2 (roughly) chance of your wanted character popping up in group 5.
Of course if you don't skip, then group 5 will never come up.
VassiliBedov 27 Apr, 2020 @ 1:30am
I think you should make possible than agents are never proposed or some are proposed several times. Right now except if you are really unlucky and 3 agents you wanted are proposed at the same round it is pretty easy to have the team you want or close to it.

Unit Name v has such a tragic backstory

Essential

An elegant tweak to mix up gameplay. I too wish a mode like this was the default. I love being forced to make the best of sub optimal squad configurations.
mynameactually 26 Apr, 2020 @ 4:07pm
I see this becoming an essential mod for future playthoughs. Also makes a good means of adding modded characters.
Urgash 26 Apr, 2020 @ 3:55pm
Great Idea

What a great idea.

Thank you!
Lactation Consultant 26 Apr, 2020 @ 8:20am
This is honestly how I think the game should've been to begin with. Fantastic mod.
Rusty | SkyPaladin 26 Apr, 2020 @ 3:08am
Yes I like this, will definitely start using after I finish it the first time
Juriel 26 Apr, 2020 @ 2:34am
This is great, fantastic of you to get it done so fast! Once we have additional characters in the pool, this should lead to an interesting make-do start, and recruiting new characters to actually be worth something (as more than just assembly crew).
VeeDemo 26 Apr, 2020 @ 1:38am
Will defo be using this next playthrough!
NightNinja54 26 Apr, 2020 @ 12:39am
Great idea NotSoLoneWolf! Will be using going forward for sure

Thank you! I've was wondering how I'd avoid picking stronger members for their next playthrough!
