does this one still work? the new author changed the model, the laser delay, the particle effect, the sound effect, its not even the same anymore apart from the massive damage. i made builds around this mod and it didnt even come back as the same thing

They made it, put hours and hours of effort into it, they're not just gonna give it to the public to do with it whatever they want and potentially hurt their image.

Being a creative myself (though sadly not in this field) I have never understood this mindset of "I'm out and taking my stuff with me, Deal with it!" nor can I ever condone it. The only thing saving you from the full proper tong lashing is the hope that who you did semi-will it to doesn't make similar mind boggling decision down the line.

That's really a shame that you can't continue supporting this and and other mods. This one, for example, as far as I've seen, doesn't have much alternatives on workshop, that share its compactness and combat strength, making it quite OP, yet a fun weapon. I understand this intersects with your will to keep copyright for the mod, but maybe you could open the code of it, just for sake of the mod and people who liked it, so it wouldn't just get forgotten?

Decommissioned in the sense that if it breaks, I probably wont ever get around to fixing it.

So, does this mean the mod still works as is and you don't maintain it anymore?
Or has it been decomissioned in the sense that it won't work anymore at all.

I hope one day somebody will continue support this mod....because this is one of my favorite mod....

There are only a few people i would trust to maintain it, and they have their hands full already, so chances are low but not impossible.

Admittedly I haven't had much a chance to play with the laser mod as I've been too busy with life but are you willing to pass it off to somebody else? Since you're no longer maintain it. It's kind of sad to see it go as it has a fantastic model, was well-balanced and was fun to use.



It just that it seems like other super laser mods are way too powerful and not as iconic as yours.

do i have to download another mod for this to work? it was working fine when i first got it and i got both the normal and creative version but now it doesnt work. doesnt show any charging or anything and the menu is different and logs say soemthing about crashed weapon core

@Hello_There - i have no problems with reuploads as long a they remain unlisted. That big copyright block up there is to mostly cover my own butt while taking down public reuploads.
