any news on the progress for the historical bloodlines?

Pretty sure a lot of what's causing steam and file extractors throwing errors is that you have your filename as "Bloodlines_Submod.3" That ".3" is causing a LOT of issues because any OS is going to think it's a ".3" filetype. You really should change that.

update... it just didn't retroactively change everything... well i can deal with it

if you change the files of the bloodline as if you change all of it to "all_descendants" you need to chnage this one too since it over ride

People use it! It's the only mod like this in the workshop. I'd be sad if it were to be lost

im pretty swamped with projects and exams right now but ill update it over the christmas holidays with as many new options as i can think of. Just make a comment of anything you want me to add and ill do my best to get it done

I don't know if people still use this mod, I stopped playing ck 2 awhile ago and ive been busy with college up until now but I could update the mod and add some new features if there is still a demand for it now that i have some free time. let me know.

@jimstein Thanks, I kind of gave up on trying to fix it, I tried to figure out what was wrong but i never really considered it was just a stray curly bracket that was causing all the problems. I appreciate the help, uploading mods isn't something i do a lot i mainly just make them for myself. Hopefully it works now.

installing this behaves badly on my machine. it is named decriptor.mod and descritpor.zip. How to fix this? Well...Rename the files. But most important is to fix the errors in the mod file:
Remove the last '}' that is not matched and add a line to the mod file:
dependencies = { "Sketchy Cheat Menu" }

I downloaded the mod and ticked it, but it does not show up in the intrigue menu. Am I missing something?

Don't forget to turn on cloud save, people. Otherwise no mod will work. I know this does sound stupid, but as long as cloud save isn't enabled then mods won't show up in the list and you can't active it then.

I really want to try this mod and I have followed the steps outlined by @BackMuLan below but when I download the alternative link compressed file, I am unable to extract anything from it and I am prompted that the file itself is empty despite it appearing to be 74 kb in my files explorer. Can anyone help?

When I subscribe to this sub-mod, the menu did not show up in the intrigue menu even though I had this sub-mod enabled with main "Sketchy's Sketchy Cheat menu" mod enabled.

I did following and this bloodline cheat menu showed up in the intrigue menu.

1. I unsubscribed this sub-mod from steam,
2. opened to "C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod" folder in my computer, then deleted "descriptor.zip" and "descriptor.mod.mod" file. (these files seemed to be the files that steam downloaded when I subscribed this mod)
3. I downloaded this sub-mod, using link in the "Alternative download link" section at the bottom of this sub-mod's description
4. unzip the downloaded file at the "C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod" folder.
5. enable this mod from the mod-list at the game-launcher or at the game's tile menu.

i have a problem when i start with the mod and chose a character and go to decision with cheats on the bloodlines cheats dont show up only the normal sketchy options do

So there are two descriptor.mod files in the archive the workshop provides. Steam makes its own iirc so you ought to delete any you have inside of the mod's folder before uploading it.

Additionally, the .mod file steam provides points to the wrong location. Make sure the mod folder and accompanying .mod file share the same name (maybe required?), and that the .mod file points toward the folder. Hopefully that's helpful and fixes the problem, but it's been a while since I uploaded anything to the CK2 workshop. I also think that steam likes to erase the workshop page's description when you update things, so keep that in mind.

Btw, could you create a bloodline that gives a trait?

I don't know how to fix it steam messes with the file in some way but they don't explain what way so i can't fix it

It stopped working for me too and i looked at it in the mod folder, the uploaded steam zip file contains 2 descriptor.mod files in it, shouldn't there only be 1? they are 2 different sizes and neither matches the single file in the alternate link version.

@Ren Might be possible but it could take awhile for me to get that to work. I'll have a go at it but ill make it so you can add male bloodlines as a female character and female bloodlines as a male character aswell after I add that i'll experiment to see if thats possible. The only way I really know for sure that would work is if I add custom bloodlines with both matrilineal and patrilineal inheritance but i may be able to try something else. I'll look into it but no guarantees.

If your'e planning to make bloodlines available to male or female anyway, any way you could add a single decision to make all chosen bloodlines inheritable to all descendants by making them both matrilineal and patrilineal?

The Steam version seems to be broken. It appears in my mod list but it doesn't actually work when the game loads up. I think somethings off with the zipped folder part of the mod. I downloaded the mod from your Mod DB link and it works perfectly.

For anyone having trouble with the Steam version, just download the Mod DB version and extract into the mods folder (don't worry if the extracted folder isn't zipped, it still works for me). Should work just fine. :)

(btw thank you for making this mod, I love it!)
