Such a shame to see a mod like this go to the wayside, no offense Vice I know life can be time consuming. Hope someone comes by and and at least gets it into a semi working order. Thanks for all the hard work you did man. I wish you good luck on any future projects and endeavors =]

Not anytime soon. It hurts to see the mod not work, but currently I am not in a position to work on it, even if I wanted to. I am not opposed to having someone join the one-man team and getting it up-to-date.

To download for players: click on Code => download zip => move 2077240162 to your Mods folder (unsubscribing from Tycho's Tangent) or \steamapps\workshop\content\333640 (just replace, no unsubscribe needed)

I managed to fix all mod errors and fix the crash on startup caused by an infinite loop in the code that tries to retrieve all population tables. But unfort, choosing a Background in the Backgrounds and Alignments tab only seem to affect reputation and doesn't grant their custom starting items I think.

And most importantly, I don't know enough about world map editing to make the Carbide City area appear on the new map. Oh well, I'll just be patient until 1.0 and the upcoming Moon Stair arc will bring a ton of content anyway :)

its been awhile
many of the items
plug out most of everything not world adding related. 3/4 of it works, the others will throw errors and most of those show you what it was in the error log and then you can rip it out, rinse repeat.
If your familiar with notepad++ and the error log is frankly mostly unreconizable, buuuut it does at the end of log give you the item name or skill name or w/e to work off of. Then I use ctrl+f in NP+ to open it up and remove it..

The changes made to base game as far as mods have been relativly minor, the few exceptions being some table changes. Just most of us lack the experience to fix it or understand how. You can download and actualy USE portions of the mods if you rip it out. the bits not working i wouldnt know how to fix =/

Unfortunately the mod isn't working with the current version of the game. Sepherescent is waiting for 1.0 to update it. It's too bad for sure since I too never had the occasion to play it but I can understand it wouldn't be fun to update something that could be broken again the week after.

1.0 will likely come out 1 year from now, so not much time to wait if you've been following the game for ten years :)

That's perfectly fine, my content exists for the sole purpose of entertaining others. Someone already asked me privately if they could do what you've suggested, but nothing has come of it yet.

I really appreciate your support and enthusiasm!
However, being the busy bee that I am, I have made the decision not to update this until a final/stable v1.0 of Qud is released, and focus my efforts on other projects. I hope you understand.

mods like this lose me at "revisions and changes" because that's usually what causes conflicts. I like mods that only add or touch their own things

The Deep Jungle Arc update breaks the mod I'm afraid. Only use it if you're playing on an older version.

I did a wild hack by replacing that line with "if (true)"

The errors are like:

<...>\steamapps\workshop\content\333640\2077240162\XRL.World.Parts.Mutation\ServantOfPtoh.cs(29,20): error CS0103: The name 'CreateCharacter' does not exist in the current context

It doesn't like how you check if it's the player when assigning equipment for mutations, probably because the createcharacter.template is gone now.

If I recall correctly, some of them are valid for legendary encounters, but not lairs. I remember seeing a legendary black swan pariah in the salt dunes some time ago.

Are the creatures added by this mod valid for legendary lairs/encounters? I don't think I've ever seen one generated.
