@birb Yes

can a forklift load it?

@Lord-Wolf The Beacon Locator System has just been released on the workshop, if you wanna check it out ;)

@C4RB0N That is awesome to hear ! Good job !

@Lord-Wolf Just released the update to the Crates: now they are equipped with the Emergency Beacon for easy locating ;)
C4RB0N  [author] 7 May, 2020 @ 5:29am
@Myrphac Indeed! They're coming soon too (possibly today) ;)
Myrphac 7 May, 2020 @ 3:28am
@C4RB0N oh man those beacon locators would sure be sweet
Lord-Wolf 6 May, 2020 @ 5:55pm
Oh that looks really good !

@Lord-Wolf Yes! That's actually what I've worked on today. I’ve designed these air-droppable  Beacon Locator Buoys [imgur.com] (that fit Pony’s locator system), with a Master Station that fits in the Cargo Bay to monitor the Buoys.
The Air-Drop Crates are getting the Beacon Locator in the next update too ;)

Add a beacon to the crates so we can find them back once they're on the ground in case they dropped somewhere we don't see. Also adding a beacon locator to the plane for search operation could be a nice feature :)

@Myrphac Have fun with it! Now it's much more refined, and can also seat up to 6 people inside! Let me know how it goes ;)
Myrphac 3 May, 2020 @ 1:07pm
@C4RB0N Nice. I'll try v2 when I've got some time!
C4RB0N  [author] 2 May, 2020 @ 2:05pm
@Myrphac Thanks. Yeah, I guess for now I'll add that into the description (hoping people will read it)
Myrphac 2 May, 2020 @ 1:43pm
@C4RB0N yep, that would do the job, good luck with this! If that doesn't work you can always tell people to go below 180knts that would work too (if they read the description...).
C4RB0N  [author] 2 May, 2020 @ 1:14pm
@Myrphac That would require a simple Radio System, to tell the Crates when to turn off their brakes, but i guess the main limitation would still be the electricity requirements...I'll see what I can do
Myrphac 2 May, 2020 @ 12:02pm
@C4RB0N Maybe that would help, I hadn't thought about this battery problem, maybe it would last long enough without being linked to the plane's electric grid but the other problem would be how to turn the brakes off when needed...
C4RB0N  [author] 2 May, 2020 @ 11:53am
@Myrphac Glad to hear that. I was thinking of using also the grippers on the Crates themselves to lock them in place, though i don't know how long their internal battery would last that way...
Myrphac 2 May, 2020 @ 11:23am
@C4RB0N So I've tried maintaining an airspeed under 10 knts (176 max) and it worked: the crates stayed into place and were dropped off nicely when needed! Thanks for the help bud! Good luck for trying to solve this! Since the problem really is aerodynamics I don't know how you could improve the locking mechanism without adding connectors (which would probably be a pain in the ass I guess).
C4RB0N  [author] 2 May, 2020 @ 10:10am
@Myrphac Thanks! Let me know how that goes ;)
Myrphac 2 May, 2020 @ 9:01am
@C4RB0N Thanks, I'll try that! Stormworks physics are sometimes weird! Btw I really love your A400M, it owrks like a charm and looks really nice!
C4RB0N  [author] 2 May, 2020 @ 8:12am
@Myrphac That's probably an issue with the Cargo Tracks, as their "braking power" is not enough to keep the Crates locked when flying at max speed; and also as issue on how the game calculates drag (drag is still applied to the crates, even if they are inside the enclosed volume of the cargo bay, so they shouldn't experience any aerodynamic force).
To solve the problem you had, just avoid going at max speed with the Crates in the Cargo Bay (180knots is a good safe speed).
I will try and see if i can improve the locking mechanism on the Crates themselves in a coming update.
Myrphac 2 May, 2020 @ 8:01am
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but whenever I try to aird-drop those (using the already air-drop filled A400M you posted), the crates go at the back of the plane after takeoff and they can't be dropped since they destroy the secondary ramp as soon as the lower ramp is lowered. So far I have tried to lock them using noth the ISO zones and cargo ramps. I have also tried to deactivate the front key but I have always had the same problem so far. Do you have any idea of what goes wrong?
C4RB0N  [author] 30 Apr, 2020 @ 12:11am
@walter white You can either place it in the cargo bay with the Selection Tool in the workbench (Selection Tool>Load>Air-Drop Crate>Paste), or by loading it from the Ramp like any other vehicle after you spawn the Plane.

how do you get it into the plane
