What research do i need for coil atachment for LW2 ?

XSkin should work and while the Required Items list Coilgun for War of the Chosen, using [WOTC] [WSR] Laser and Coil Arsenal Templates can also function with a bit of change in the XCOMBayonet config file.

If using the other Coilgun mod linked above instead of the one listed in the requirements, you should change all mentions of the suffix "_CG" with "_CL" as the Coilgun naming pattern is different for the other mod. You technically don't even have to replace the original Coilgun entries in the config and isntead just double up with one list being _CG and the other being _CL if you for some reason will switch which Coilgun mod you want to use in the future.

If I use XSkin to change a base game weapon's appearance to a 'compatible' coil model from Wolf's Asset Pack (i.e. vanilla mag rifle to the coil rifle) will the UB attachments appear on the model?

Can I use this without [WOTC] Iridar's Underbarrel Attachments? I just want Bayonets on my Coilguns, nothing more.

It works but I had to change to match the Ghost Templates "AssaultRifle_CL"
On another not would be super cool to see a TLP version

@MrCloista TLE weapons are a bit harder do to them having attachments that aren't really removable.

That works :) . For anyone wondering, change the name of the weapons in XComBayonet.ini from "TEMPLATE=WeaponName_CG", to "WeaponName_CL". Do the same in the Underbarrel ini if you need to.

@SupremeMorpheus I have not tried it, but if it uses the same models then all you would need to do is alter the ,"name" of the weapon from the ini to match that of ,"Coilguns - Beam Tier Replacer 2.0"

@Skarsatai 2.0 it seems both mods use the same Name for the coilguns so it should be compadible for both

@Californiadreaming, yes, a config without the mod won't do anything so you should be good if you unsub from bayonets

Is Bayonets by Iridar absolutely necessary? I like the underbarrel stuff but I'm not a huge fan of the bayonets. Will this work with one but not the other present?

It would also prevent you from overriding any changes Iridar might make to their mods in an update.

Hey, I've looked at the config files, and you don't need to include all the lines already present in the original mods' XComUnderbarrel.ini and XComBayonets.ini - you should only include the lines related to your additions. Prevents any possible wierd bug from adding an attachement twice to the same gun, and also makes it much easier to see what your additions are.

hi. the required mod "coilguns for War of the Chosen" is older than this
newer mod as required item ( same author):Weapon Tier Overhaul for War of the Chosen (Add Coil and Lasers anywhere).
